The room was good. To get water one had to go downstairs to the kitchen but at night the dog was in there. The shower head and the toilet needs a change ASAP. The bathroom was roomy and clean. The rooms had no locks and the main door was unlocked all day. The land lady was very pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor and having to wait for others to vacate the bathroom and middle of the night trips to it were very undesirable. Also, the owner has a very large dog. One of my group is extremely allergic to dogs so we had to cut our visit short. No where was it listed that there was a dog. In today's world of allergies, I would think notification of such would be mandatory. The breakfast included applesauce cups (like what I give my grandchildren) and instant coffee. Not at all what I'm used to at a "bed and breakfast". The double bed in our room was very comfortable, but unfortunately there was no safe available. Overall we had a lovely stay. We had the entire upper floor to ourselves and felt very cozy sleeping with home made quilts etc. Breakfast was great and there are facility to do some food prep in your room. Very close to everything in Jasper and the owner was very knowledgable aboit things to do in and around Jasper. If you have mobility issues get the downstairs suite. The only negative is there is no second floor bathroom so you had to go downstairs to shower or even relieve yourself. If you get the downstairs suite this is not a problem. It would be tight to put 4 people in a room as it lacks closets...but for a couple there was ample space. Also when printing receipts once booked on line, we were under the impression that everything was paid for until Louise asked us to clear up our bill - if that is the case that you are to pay at the end of the visit why are you required to pay (give visa number) if it’s not being charged. Was not impressed with that, we had thought is was cleared up. All in all everything was well, clean, friendly environment. ##### Verified traveller Stayed 2 nights in Dec 2018 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Leon 22 Sept 2018 Disliked: Staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Aldrig mere noget B&B som har et navn som Palace Ejeren ikke tilstede, da vi ankommer kl 16:30 en ½ time for tidligt iflg. hendes regler, men hun svarer ikke på tlf, da vi ringer (2 gange) til hende (tlf.svarer på). Ejeren åbner døren kl 17:15 og er meget overrasket over at vi er der (vi har ventet udenfor i bilen hele tiden). Vær er på 1.sal - badevær i stuen, meget ubekvemt, da vi er ældre, at bære sin kuffert op ad smal trappe og er nødsaget til toiletbesøg om natten, hvor man skal igennem tv stuen oven i købet. Nøgle til huset og i særdeles til vores værelse udleveres ikke "her kommer ingen" siger værtinden utrykt. Man skal sætte sine sko i entreen og evt. bruge husets hjemmesko, meget ulækkert! På vores vær. skal man også opbevare sine våde håndklæder, det er da ikke lige sagen. Morgenmaden består af div. børnecornflakes og toastbrød, i dette tilfælde for gammelt brød (nedsættelse af vores leje med $20), udløbsdato var for flere dage siden, ligeledes var hverken smør, marmelade eller mælk i orig. embalage, mælk: der var sat ½l til 3 personeri køleskabet! Brødrister og kogekande kunne ikke køre samtidigt pga. for lille sikring. Morgenmaden skulle også indtages på vær. Intet tv på værelset. Ejeren er ikke til stede, da vi skal afrejse, hun er taget på camping og har overladt huset til en veninde!!! så vi kan ikke engang komme af med vores klager. ##### Leon Stayed 2 nights in Aug 2018 ### 4/10 Poor #### Sophie 15 Aug 2018 Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort Maison vétuste. Une salle de bain comune pour toute les chambres. Pas de point d’eau dans la chambre. L’odeur du chien se repand partout jusque dans les serviettes. Er zat geen slot op de gedeelde badkamer/toilet waardoor je geen privacy had als je stond te douchen of op toilet zat. Eigenaresse was vriendelijk maar weinig gezien. Het huis ligt wel centraal t.o.v. Walked into house to a bad smell, we opened up the windows in the room but couldn't get rid of the smell. Decorative pillows on the beds were covered in dust , blankets and sheets smelt which made sleeping very hard. We didn't enjoy our stay there. On a donc attendu 1 heure avant d'avoir quelqu'un sur place. La maison est poussiéreuse et la salle de bain commune à la baignoire qui coule sans arrêt. Un recoin sympa rien que pour nous pour le petit déjeuner, mais collé à la salle de bain. Donc l'autre couple était gêné autant que nous de venir aux toilettes pendant le déjeuner. Le déjeuner : enfin 2 confitures du beurre et qq boîtes de céréales. Pour le café c'est instantané en sachet ... j'ai demandé si je pouvais me servir de sa cuisinière pour ma cafetière italienne . Non. La télé ne marche pas car pas la boîte du câble. Et l'odeur dans le lit insupportable. Ces draps en satin plein de bouloches.... heureusement que jasper et ses environs sont à faire.. on voulait se faire notre propre avis , on a compris.
