9/10 Wonderful! (795 reviews)
The only reason I’ve given this hotel more than one star is the woman with red and black braids. She was excellent and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, everyone else seemed completely uninterested.
Staff regularly walked past while you were waiting for help. Reception often felt more like a hangout, with groups of young guys standing around chatting, smiling and winking at guests rather than actually helping them.
Room service didn’t answer the phone, so I went downstairs to order in person and pointed to exactly what I wanted on the menu. They still brought completely different food.
The room smelled, wasn’t particularly clean and I couldn’t iron my clothes for the entire stay, despite being there for a conference.
Breakfast was awful. I ended up eating at my colleague’s hotel, the Windsor opposite. On the second morning I came downstairs to find the breakfast area had been ripped out overnight and was basically a building site, with no clear explanation of where to go instead.
The lifts were another issue. They were incredibly slow, the buttons often didn’t work and it wasn’t clear that one was a service lift. I got into it in front of a member of staff who said nothing, and ended up coming out in the middle of the construction area.
Overall, dirty, chaotic and incredibly poor service. The woman with the red and black braids was the one exception and should be given a pay rise and a new job at a hotel better deserving of her skills.

I showed up for the Dallas Cowboys game and the staff was great. The location was fine and I thought they did a really great job.
