I had a wonderful and excellent stay here. A simple and rustic accommodation, an old minors hut, basic, but very comfortable, clean and warm.
Excellent and polite staff, always with smile and happy to help.
I will stay here again when I return.

This place is on the pricey side, but is by far the nicest hotel in Longyearbyen. The staff, the room, the food, and the hotel itself are all amazing. The included breakfast is excellent. The hotel itself is located on one of the highest locations in town, so there is a bit of an uphill climb back to the hotel after a day of exploring, but not an issue. Special thanks to Tina and Maiju at reception, and Daniel in the dining room for providing above and beyond amazing service.

Had a super lovely stay at the Basecamp Hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, lovely and cosy atmosphere at the hotel with great breakfast. It was quiet and located conveniently. Absolutely recommend staying there.

"The lounge area was very comfortable with free tea and coffee which was nice. The on site restaurant, whilst expensive was also first class, as was the breakfast. My only real area I was unhappy with was the room itself. I had a single room and it felt tired and a little like student accommodation ..."
