65th Birthday get away
This was our 3rd VRBO stay during this vacation and by far the worst in terms of cleanliness. Many of the bed sheets dirty, main bathroom shower curtain moldy at bottom, dust, dirt in many places through out the home. The single beds were super uncomfortable and there were NO bedside tables or lamps in any of the rooms Both the front and back yards unkept and dead flowers in a pot to greet us at the front door. HOSTS would not respond. The positive is that there was easy parking. Would not recommend... ps) this is the worst review I have ever had to give...

Hi Sue, I checked our message thread and there were no signs of any messages I also do not have flowers. I’ve always never had any complaints about cleanliness in any of the previous reviews. I’m wondering if maybe this is a wrong review for a different VRBO, hope you have a nice day.

Golden Girls 70th Birthday Tour
We really enjoyed this property! It was in a great location, clean, with 3 bathrooms and super comfy beds. We all slept great! We enjoyed visiting Charleston with outstanding restaurants, shopping and a carriage ride. We also enjoyed Folly Beach, Kiawa Island and a vineyard. We also walked to local copy shops and BBQ spots. So much near by! One in our party was in a wheel chair having broken her foot on the first day of our trip. She was able to navigate the lower level and slept on the super comfy couch. Thank you for the accomodations.

Get away for the ladies
The Home is charming and very clean. The location was super. Close to the wonderful tree in Angel Park, Folly, Beach, and Charleston. We had a ball.

Great location,super clean. Backyard needs work. No toilet paper, dish towels or wash cloths. Not enough dishes for 5 people. Location, size and cleanliness overcomes lack of supplies.

1st time visit
Charleston was amazing, lots of history and great weather. the vrbo we stayed in was adequate for our needs. some updating of furniture and additions of some - like in the bedrooms ( maybe a night stand or two ) would be nice. Dinning room table & chairs ,not very comfortable for seniors

Citadel Parent's Weekend
Location was great for travel to Citadel, grocery store, and Folly Beach. Very clean and quiet neighborhood. Would have liked to have a night stand next to bed for morning coffee but all else needed was provided.

Perfect for a girls getaway

Great safe-location!
Great location- easy to find. Served our needs. Only suggestion would be more items available in kitchen- little things like hooks n BR n bedside tables. Overall good place just needs few more things. But I would definitely stay there again. Cleaning company needs to do little better job. Not many cleaning supplies or towels if we wanted to clean something up ourselves. Thank you!

Worst VRBO ever
This was the worst VRBO we ever stayed in after staying in probably 20+ others. We booked a week but left after staying just one night. We didn't arrive till after 8:30 PM and found the return air supply and supply air ducts covered thick in dust and dirt. It was disgusting. The supply air right above the main bed had black stuff inside. It didn't seem healthy. The bedroom closets have bifold doors and in two of the rooms half of the doors were off and standing inside the closet. One of the closets had dirty sheets thrown on the shelf and were now visible since the door was off. There was no toilet paper in either upstairs bathroom when we arrived. Who cleans a unit and doesn't put toilet paper in the bathrooms? Luckily, we did find some in the downstairs closet. The couch was dirty and my wife wouldn't sit on it until we covered it with one of the bed comforters. The smoke alarm was hanging by the wires and not attached to the mounting plate. Look at the bedroom photos carefully. The main bedroom does have a dresser but that is the only thing in any of the 3 bedrooms besides a bed. No bed side tables or lamps. In fact, there is not a lamp in the whole unit, just overhead lighting. Renters beware, I would never stay in this unit even if it was offered for free. Neither the owner nor VRBO were helpful regarding any type of refund.

Rex, Sorry to respond to your “review” but it is a complete lie. You did stay in the unit, and wanted to leave a day earlier and get compensated which I told you I could not do because of the short notice and blocking off a weekend, you then proceeded to threaten me with a bad review. This review is completely false, as you can read all the other reviews and see I’ve never had these types of issues. VRBO would give you a refund if you didn’t stay the days, it’s a shame you would lie on a review but wishing you the best and hope you don’t give other host’s these failed schemed attempt. You also mentioned the unit was cleaned but there was no toilet paper then you found it? So confused about it being clean or not? Best of luck to you!

Great little place.. clean and quiet....lots of Little maintenance/safety issues!...small stuff. Most is due to lack of "attention to detail" FRONT DOOR KNOB(falling off).NOT SECURE? No porch light.. Lighbulbs burned out, closet doors off the hinges, all fixable- just ignored.

Super cute in great location!
Great location that is convenient to stores and restaurants! Surrounding area is nice and safe. Inside is very cute and clean! Owner responded to my messages almost immediately. The only complaint I have is that the master bed wasn't comfortable to me. Bring your own paper towels or napkins.

Just Right
The location is great. Nice & safe neighborhood, 10 min drive to downtown Charleston & 10 min drive to folly beach. Solid restaurants close by. Backyard needs some TLC but otherwise the house was as described. Owner was super responsive.

Great spot to stay in Charleston
This house was in a great location, close to downtown and Folly beach. The owner was very responsive. The house was very clean and had what we needed. The neighborhood is great, I went for a run and it’s really a beautiful location. Highly recommend this property, it was perfect for our Momcation weekend!

Great location!
Very clean property in a nice quiet neighborhood! Convenient to shops and restaurants. Great location to see all that the Charleston has to offer. Only 15 minutes to downtown, 15 minutes to the beach. Property manager is nice and is quick to respond!

Good owner to work with. Very helpful in helping us to get settled. Located in safe, Quiet neighborhood. Quick easy drive into Charleston or down to Folly Beach. House is clean, well maintained, but a bit sparsely furnished. Has only the bare essentials, but having a stacked washer/ dryer was very appreciated. Convenient, off street parking.

I was not given access code, therefore VRBO had to put us up in motel for 1 night which I appreciate. We ended up just staying in motel, different rooms which was not the point of our trip. Trip was planned as mother/daughter getaway since live in different states. Motel did not offer amenities that a house would have.

James Island House - March 6-9, 2023
This James Island home is located in a beautiful island neighborhood close to friendly Island restaurants. The outside exterior of the house is nice but the front yard and steps were covered with leaves and debris. The backyard was very unkept and needs some work. When we arrived the front door and back sliding glass door were unlocked and left ajar, windows were unlocked and wide-open. I mentioned this to Rolando. There was no shampoo hand soap or bodywash in either bathroom; no kitchen towels or paper towels in the kitchen. Dishes were left in the dishwasher and laundry was left in the dryer from the previous renters. The dryer lint filter was clogged with about 2 inches of lint which had to be removed so that the dryer would work. Our group of 4 over 70 enjoyed our stay but found it very disconcerting that television did not work. After numerous phone calls, texts and six hours of personal time and frustration trying to get Rolando’s television to work, he apologized and agreed to send a refund check of 100.00. Have not seen it!

Wonderful stay in Charleston
This rental was a perfect fit for our girls trip weekend! From the beginning it was very easy to communicate with the host. He was very accommodating to us as well as responding to messages within minutes. The rental was a great location between downtown Charleston and Folly beach, making it easily accessible to both! The beds were very comfortable and the property was clean upon arrival! We would definitely stay here again!

This was a nice place to stay and a great location. The furnace went out our first day and the owners were quick to respond to me and got a repairman out immediately that day and it was fixed. The kitchen items were very sparse- only one drinking glass, no paper towels or dish soap

James Island Home
This place was exactly what we wanted! Easy to find, Convenient location for all the activities we chose to do. A relaxing home to come back to in the evenings. I could not ask for anything better than this! And the owner was quite accommodating to our needs. We would definitely stay here again!

First time in Charleston
We had a great three day weekend in Charleston, it was our first visit! The house was fantastic, so clean and comfortable. Ronaldo was A wonderful host, he answered all our questions in advance and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. It was our first visit to Charleston to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday and everything was just perfect! We would definitely rent this house again!!

This property could be a great rental if the owner took a little more care with the details.
The house itself is nice in a quiet little neighborhood tucked out of the way. There’s not a lot you can walk to from the property so have a car or expect to call a ride. It is the details that made the stay less enjoyable. For instance, there were no curtains to the back at all and see through curtains in the front. There were no light bulbs on the front or back porches and the owner refused to put any in. The back yard could be a nice space to enjoy but no care was taken to make it part of the enjoyable space of the home and it is pitch black there at night. Other small details would have made it more enjoyable too, like trash cans in the upstairs bathrooms and an ironing board and iron.

Sahara, Thank you for the compliment on the house! The backlight was actually destroyed during the hurricane we had a few days prior to your check in, as I explained. A professional was coming to fix it but after your check in as far as the curtain in the back most guests enjoy the light, but per your recommendation I will add one for future check in’s. All bathrooms have waste buckets so that part is a little confusing on my end, the cleaners also mentioned you were there at 9AM before your check in at 4PM so they had to speed things up which i gladly allowed. In the future, it is important to check your check in details to avoid issues like this.

Wedding Destination
There were 5 of us that stayed at this property, my husband, me, our son, our nephew and his daughter. We were there for the weekend for our other nephew's wedding. The VRBO was perfect for us. It gave us a place to come back to and relax. It also allowed us to cook breakfast so that we didn't have to eat out every morning. I would definitely recommend this VRBO and would definitely stay here again.

Charleston College move in
This is a great way to move in your college student. We have two sons who both attend The Citadel. We stayed at expensive downtown hotels the first year that our first son attended. Historic Charleston is great, so is Folly Beach this house is the perfect distance to both and because it is affordable we were able to stay for a longer time.
