Nice hotel in a good location. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Some aspects of the hotel are looking slightly dated now but everything worked.

Standard hotel and location
Location is good for night tourism, but the hotel is quite old, can be seen from room furniture, sanitary, etc. Also they only have 1 access which regulated by odd-even traffic policy. Friendly staff, only they cannot give any late check-out. Stay in the non-smoking level but still can smell the cigarette smoke on corridor or other places.

Towels look worn out ... no hand and floor towel . The lining on the toilet walls stained ..yellowish The wifi sucks that I have to get roaming data in order to get internet connections. Only consolation is that the reception desk allowed us to keep room till 1 pm instead of 12pm

An Allround Great Property
A great hotel at an affordable price. It hosts a very helpful staff, great services and amenities, and the location is covetable. The breakfast is rich and varied. Located across from the TransJakarta busway, it is most convenient for those who really want to explore the landmarks of Jakarta.

The hotel was close to the old town which i wanted to explore. It was easy to walk to this older dutch influenced part of Kota district, with its square of museums and cafe Batavia. Hotel staff were friendly with an excellent concierge/greeter who fixed several issues (not of the hotel's making for me, including sending postcards, which no one seems to send these days, so others were a bit lost when I asked them for stamps). Quite a nice restaurant area with good choice buffet or ala carte menu. Bottles of Bintang were a little slow in coming but welcome when they did. Nice small swimming pool. Some re tiling was taking place but looks good. Spa not used but looked a bit pricey, but might have been worth it if authentic Indonesia treatments. Opposite is the Dutch bakery or Dunkin Donuts. Plenty of places to eat and two medium malls opposite over the busy street. If you want full 5 star in the middle of the business district maybe go to Jalan Tamarind (about 20 mins by taxi from Kota, when the traffic not too heavy) however this is a clean friendly hotel, with a bigger brother hotel 300 meters down the road ( I did not visit this one). If booking by Expedia, you cannot claim hotel points.

Disappointing hotel
Poor location, with rooms in serious need of renovation; below average service. No hot water one night; room was dirty; missing towels; hotel had bad smell throughout; terrible check in experience. Hotel cafe was out of or incapable of serving than 50% of items on menu. Overall there is nothing to recommend about this hotel, which seems very poorly managed. A much better choice is probably available for a slightly higher cost.

Pleasant and comfortable.
Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The surrounding area is safe and there are quite a few amenities like malls with eateries and supermarts. The hotel is within reach of many local sights. Trans-Jakarta bus stop is opposite the hotel and hailing a taxi is easy. The hotel is also within a taxi drive of about 20 minutes from Sudirman Baru train station to Bandara. The hotel would be wise to inform guests wanting to take the train that the ticket machines do not accept cash. Foreigners will need to use their credit cards or if they have a local bus link card.

The check in took too long.They said they did not know i booked through hotels.com and Hotels.com haven’t paid them.I made the booking in June to go there in January.I wasn’t the only ine with the problem.There was two more people from Japan that had the same issue.The recepcionist was not nice either. Finally went into the room and The toilet flush was broken too.Overall not a good experience and will not be back again.

In general nice hotel
Nice hotel, however the breakfast buffet is good but it only consists of asian varieties food, no other choices available.

Real value for this area
Great value, large room, clean and secure. Decent quality gym too. The area is very busy lots of cafes, malls and restaurants. And if what you want is not on your doorstep just hail a cheap taxi or better still get the rapid bus which has a stop right outside the hotel. Didn't try the hotels foods so can't comment.
