Summary: Summer School - Private Home! The Space: Relax on island time at this beautiful five bedroom, four bathroom home, located at the heart of Amelia Island! With stunning ocean views and a private oceanfront deck and direct beach access, this large, open cottage is everything you could imagine for a beach-side holiday break. Walk directly into the main living area of this gorgeous home, where you can enjoy comfortable, tasteful furnishings in bold, bright colors and a number of amenities that will ensure your happiness throughout your stay. The careful design of this area allows for easy conversation and entertainment, even among larger groups. Enjoy cooking in this property's full updated and well-equipped kitchen, which includes stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, and more. This main area includes three of the five bedrooms, all of which boast large, updated beds and premium linens. Two of the bedrooms are accessed through a separate entry door, making this the perfect location for extended family gatherings and getaways among friends. This home comfortably sleeps ten and is situated in a fantastic area of the island. A short walk across the boardwalk will take you over the dunes and directly to the beach, or enjoy a short drive to one of the many amazing restaurants located on the south end or to Historic Downtown Fernandina on the north end, where you will find a number of trendy dining spots, shops, and museums. For our nature-lovers, our beautiful island has lots to offer, including fishing, kayaking, and hiking. Fort Clinch State Park in located on the north end, while a little further south sits the Talbot Island State Parks. No matter what you look forward to most, we are sure you will agree, this is the perfect place to make lasting memories. All fresh linens and towels are provided for our guests. We also provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing soap, dish pods, and laundry detergent. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach umbrella and are also provided for you to use during your stay. Pets under 50lbs are welcomed! No aggressive breeds and pet must be crated when guest is away from rental. We also ask all guests to complete a registration form with Amelia Island Vacations through the secure site of DocuSign. ​​​There is a credit processing fee of $35 that will be charged if you cancel your booking, regardless of the booking or cancellation date. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Downside to the house was the external access to two of the bedrooms with window air in those two rooms versus central in the rest of the house. Also, lack of door between those two adjoining rooms. Plenty of parking and the superb location make up for the negatives. We will be considering renting the place again next year. ##### ALAN N. The house is a fantastic beach house, but needs updating. The area rugs have many stains. The bathroom tile floor has many broken tiles. The description should say that two of the bathrooms upstairs share a shower. The two bedrooms downstairs are really just one big room with a dividing short wall, but no door between them. The downstairs bath ceiling is very low. The actual house layout is fabulous, but it just needs to be shown some love and updates! ##### David B. We only used the upstairs so really a 3 bedroom 2 bath. There are 2 more separate bedrooms with an outside entrance in the basement. The house is oceanfront but on a busy road so there is road noise. The beds and furniture are comfortable but the house needs some maintenance. Overall we enjoyed our stay but at this price point expected a better maintained property. ##### chuck c. Master upstairs had pet hair on baseboards and pet food under chairs. Outside deck was nice. However deck to beach had several boards that were close to breaking if you stepped on them. Boardwalk does not go all the way to beach. Down stairs rooms were small and had low ceiling. There was a leak in ceiling that appeared to have been there awhile. Not so nice house The property has some major cleaning and safety issues. The handrail on the walkway to the beach was completely broken off. There were screws and nails sticking out that could cause bodily harm! The grill was filthy and broken. Totally unusable. The washing machine had missing knobs. The pocket door to the bathroom in the second bedroom looked like someone threw liquid on it and no one cleaned it up. The main bath floor tile has many cracked tiles.
