It is within walking distance of the Ritz Carlton Hotel via either the beach or a shaded sidewalk. Within a mile or two, there is a Harris Teeter grocery store and several great restaurants such as Pogo’s, Lagniappe, and Marche Burette. The Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort and Ritz Carlton are also close by – you can access many of their amenities such as restaurants, the “Shops at Amelia Island Plantation,” the Ritz spa, and the Omni’s marsh front golf course even though the Surf & Racquet Club has no affiliation with them. North of the Amelia Surf & Racquet Club, you will find Main Beach which features the Salt Life and Sandbar Kitchen restaurants, a playground, and beachside putt putt golf. From there, Amelia Island's downtown historic district is just a short drive down Atlantic Avenue. There you will find plenty of wonderful restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and local culture. Fort Clinch State Park is also located along Atlantic Avenue. The park features the 19th century Fort Clinch (still open to the public for tours), a great beach, and lots of beautiful trails for hiking or biking. Amelia Island State Park and the Big & Little Talbot State Parks are all located to the south of Amelia Surf & Racquet Club. Boneyard Beach in Big Talbot State Park is extremely unique and worth a trip. The beach is beautiful and the pool and grounds are kept up nicely. Downtown Amelia wigh lots of restaurants is a 15 minute drive. Will definitely stay here again. ##### fred b. Location to the beach is perfect and beach equipment was in excellent condition and so nice to have. The balcony was where we ate breakfast every morning. The sunrise was spectacular! I highly recommend Sandy's condo. It is quiet, peaceful and the view of the ocean and beach is great. Acess to the beach was very easy and we spent much of our time there. The condo itself is wonderfully comfortable, offering an unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean that truly enhances the experience. During our month-long stay, we took full advantage of the well-appointed kitchen, which was, without a doubt, the most thoughtfully equipped we’ve encountered in over 15 short-term rentals. We also appreciated the property’s no-pets policy, which added to our comfort. With convenient amenities such as easy parking, an elevator, and a dedicated trash room, day-to-day activities were seamless. Sandy was excellent at communicating and her condo was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. But the main thing that will stay with me is the view. If I could wake up every morning to sunrise over the ocean, well, I'd be in heaven. We loved the sound of the waves at night, and enjoyed sitting on the balcony and getting a little sun. ##### amy c. Great communication with the owner. My husband is mobility impaired so having the handicap beach entrance next door was a real bonus. He could enjoy the beach without getting exhausted. We sat on the balcony every day looking at the ocean waves and at night the sound of the ocean was so therapeutic for us! It was nice to have a slider door in our bedroom that could be opened with a screen in it so we could get the fresh ocean air while sleeping. The condo was very clean and we had everything we needed for our stay. The complex was quiet and we loved walking on the uncrowded beach every day. ##### Julie M.
