Great Oceanfront Condo with Pools, Clay Courts, WiFi, and more

  • Watch the sunrise over the ocean from your bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen or balcony in this beautifully decorated, Non-Smoking, 3rd floor, oceanfront condo. This condo is just a short walk from the world famous Ritz Carlton Hotel, includes two full-size pools, four lighted clay tennis courts, as well as shaded bike and walking paths.

    The Surf and Racquet Club is a beautifully landscaped, secure, gated community conveniently located in the Summer Beach area on Amelia Island. . The setting is in a lush, coastal, hammock forest with sand dunes directly on the ocean. Much of the tree canopy remains intact. Our condo overlooks 1 of the 2 pools and the pristine sea-oat covered dunes and white sandy beaches.

    The Master Bedroom has a King Bed with great views of the ocean and balcony access. The master has a TV with cable and a full, private bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 Twin beds, TV with cable, and full private bathroom.

    The living room includes a sleeper sofa. The dining room can seat 6 at the table and there are 2 additional stools at the kitchen bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. We have a full size washer/dryer available in the condo.

    Only 40 minutes from Jacksonville airport, Amelia Island has miles of hiking and walking trails through the inland oaks. Oceanfront horseback riding is very popular, too. There are many great golf courses very close by, including one near the Ritz Carlton, just a five-minute walk down the beach or road and others at the Plantation development on the Island. Boating, fishing and all water sports may be found on the island, too. Antiquing in some of Amelia’s antique shops is popular as is strolling in the quaint Victorian downtown area. You will find many fine restaurants there and throughout the Island, as well.

    A short boat trip will take you to Cumberland Island, famous for it’s wild horses. Also, on Amelia Island is Fort Clinch and is one of the most well-preserved 19th Century Forts in America. There are daily tours, hikes, fishing, and other activities. There are other activities here or nearby including snorkeling, diving, hunting, miniature golf, cinemas and museums.

Location, location, location! The views were spectacular with easy beach access. The condo needs updated and some basic maintenance (filters need replaced and vents need cleaned), there was a lot of dust and dirt. Overall, the cleaning fee didn’t seem justified.

Nice just a little outdated.

Couches were nice but you sink down. Wonderful king bed in master. Tub’s are very deep and needs to have cleaned the shower curtain. Very beautiful view of the ocean and felt very safe.

Wonderful, relaxing getaway

As the other reviewers have said, she needs a little love. But that did not detract from our stay at all. We are all about the covered porch looking out at the pool & the ocean! The unit was clean, check in could not have been easier. Elevator right up to the front door. The beds were great, we had very good night's sleep after returning from fishing & beaching all day. Loved it!

Pledge the Pink Weekend

Two couples stayed in this comfortable roomie condo. We did a 30 mile walk for breast cancer over the weekend. two other highlights were visiting the American Beach museum, and the nearby distillery.The condo could use some attention, particularly washing the carpets. Kitchen is small, but stocked with everything you could need for cooking. Host did not answer our questions regarding check out.

Great condo, just needs updates!

The condo is great. I love the community, the property, pool, beach, etc. The actual condo needs attention, though! It needs a new shower set-up, the vents needs to be updated, the fan in the bathroom, etc. We had a need while we were there, and the owner got right back to us and resolved the issue.

Beautiful Vacation Home and Destination

We loved our stay at the condo. The view is beautiful from the bedroom and balcony. The living area was especially comfy and no problem with any electronics. I would only say the tub plumbing in both bathrooms were a little tricky to get shower, or tub to cut off or get proper temp control. The information for the condo was a bit confusing as the emails were different from posted information. Also, the twin beds have plastic covers on them, which we understand are great for kids, but I had two adults staying in there who said they crinkled all night. Overall, it was a beautiful condo really nicely furnished and we totally enjoyed the beach and the amenities and getting a chance to get away for a few days. we would definitely book this condo agai

We bought an air mattress for the guest room because the twin beds were so uncomfortable. They are wrapped in plastic, so very noisy and creepy. The place is desperate for updating, but clean. Great coffee maker, but the wrong filters. Other small details like that. If you are not picky, and want close the beach, you might like it. My family was not happy.

Perfect location

Condo is perfect spot for a few days on Amelia. Great views from balcony and easy access to beach and pool. Also a short drive to restaurants and lots of biking nearby. Downtown is about 15 minutes but makes for a more quiet surroundings. Plenty of space for 4 people. The condo is definitely older and shows some signs of age (although the couches seemed newer and the walls were painted a different color from photos so some updates must be in the works). But it was comfortable and had all the basics. I’d recommend bringing a Roku or Fire stick for each tv bc the remotes were near impossible to figure out for each room. Would stay here again.

The condo was clean but smelled very stale and mildewy. The master shower needs a new faucet, the second shower too,the tv would not work (due to broken remote) . the couch was comfortable though.

The location is great and property/ unit is outdated. Few light blubs in the unit were out. The master bathroom shower wasn't working at all. Try to contact the owners before check-in and during but no response at all. No communication from owner during stay. Since it's owned privately, the facility office won't be able to help at all. The amount of money is charged wasn't worth the unit. Just honest review.

Beach Front Condo

This two bedroom beach front condo has a view of the ocean and is well apportioned with everything you will need for your stay. We particularly enjoyed mornings on the balcony watching the tide come in. The sheets were clean, as were the towels. It was hard to gauge the hot water in the master bedroom as there are no markings and the knob turns 360 degrees. I figured it out but it took some doing. The only really frustrating thing about my stay is that the owner scheduled a maintenance visit without telling us. While they were prompt in their response, it was still weird to rent a property and have a random person showing up without notice.

The unit is exactly as described. The unit has plenty of space for a family. As mentioned in other comments some items are a bit dated but that did not bother us. We were able to cook what we needed without issues.The beds are not the most comfortable. The in unit laundry is a plus. As mentioned in the description, there are some beach items..... you may consider bringing some of your own.

Enjoyed this home at Amelia Island! Right on the beach with a beautiful pool. Sunrise in the morning right from the balcony with coffee can’t be missed. Very comfortable for our family. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.
