Really dirty and horrible hotel. Would not recommend to use this hotel for pets let alone for human beings. Yellow water coming from bathroom basin and toilet and shower. Floors to the hotel room were sticky and dirty.

We stayed at 4 hotels in Türkiye due to travel and Avecinna was by far the best. The breakfast’s were delicious and well presented. The front desk was helpful, kind, and accommodating. The concierge by the name of Bilal was especially helpful and extended himself far beyond what was expected. We thank Avicenna for a delightful stay.

This is now my third time at this hotel and it’s huge attraction is its situation so close to to the historical centre. As I get older I regret that it has no lift, but in all other respects it met my needs very well.

Hotel is not clean and dusty we have checked in and went to the room was no clean at all so we had to request to change our room second is that okay but it was not clean. I would not go back to this hotel again and I wouldn’t recommend

Needs improvement
We stayed one night and it happened to be a Saturday night. They did not inform us that there will be live music in the evening in the restaurant just above our room. The noise was unbearable. They finished at 12 o clock midnight and then started the cleaning process which included dragging tables and chairs and the sorting out of glasses and plates, which made an additional two hours of noise, so at 2 a.m we could successfully fall asleep. We had to check out early next morning, so the whole experience was unpleasant and stressful. The staff was polite and helpful, breakfast was good too. The bed sheet is a bit too small for two people. It got cold in the middle of the night and we found out that there was no no additional blanket. The air conditioner had no battery so we couldn’t use it either.

I didn't like the room, it was small, the staff was not friendly at all. They litellery gave us dead stare when we would come and go... Also, the AC did not work well. It had a lot of loud noise which caused me sleepless nights. Over all I would not recoomned this hotel. Also they didn't let us use the Terras for breakfast and made us eat in the dungen which was extremely hot

Poca limpieza, debajo de la cama estaba demasiado sucio. La regadera (shower) estaba rota por un lado y no se podía sostener, nosotros la teníamos que sostener.

I stayed in this hotel in July 2019 and Picked up the same hotel with intention they will treat us the same way as before. The room initially they offered vs what we have booked was not good at all, we had to pay extra to get the room we were looking for. Most of the staff were helpful other than one of the member which were pretty rude. The breakfast is not very good option as they say free breakfast but they charge extra for everything if you need coffee, water or Omelet. I stayed 10 days in hotel but after this year experience I will never stay in this hotel.

I was offered Turkish coffee on the house by the staff. Night before I checked out I asked the staff of there was any bill outstanding. They confirmed everything was paid off. Next day when I was checking out in the morning I was told I have to pay the bill for the coffees and they made me pay. Secondly I wanted to book a cab through the hotel for the airport and I was happy to pay by my debit card as I was little short of Turkish lira. They denied they cannot except card payment for the cab as they have to pay them in cash. They realised I had British pounds on me. They made me pay in pounds for the cab. I only wanted a small taxi for myself and they booked me a 10 seater bus for my pounds. I am disappointed with the greedy staff. Hotel room was nice and clean but the staff was terrible towards the end of the trip.

False Advertisement
Checked in to our first room And it was so tiny compared to what they show online which I think is false advertisement.. the bathroom door just about closed when you go in. The AC was leaking so asked to move to another room and they moved me and my wife in to a room with 2 single beds I told them this is not acceptable we need a queen size bed as described on your website they told me I would have to pay extra as they only have the elegance room available. Why should I have to pay extra if my room has a leak! So I refused to pay but got told I can move in to the room after arguing for about 15mins once moved in to the elegance room it absolutely STUNK! the workers were even embarrassed at this stage we were so tired and have moved from first floor to second floor then from second floor to the elegance room that room stunk we had to move back to the second floor and me and my wife had to sleep on two single beds. Then we asked for an iron they gave it and told us we don’t have a stand we can iron on the bed the iron they gave was damaged and cracked and the heat control dial was stuck on high while ironing it burned my clothes and slightly the bed and I got told by the manager I would get charged For the burn marks also that ironing in the hotel is prohibited and we are not allowed to use iron even though the workers are the ones who gave us the iron. Lastly mini bars as always should be charged but water should atleast should be complimentary in such a hot country but nope.

The Hotel pretends to be a luxurious one, but the quality and service is far from expectations: no proper heating, thin walls, lack of maintenance for the bathroom etc

Excellent location......
Really enjoyed our stay at this small hotel. Staff were most helpful and on the ball. Very central and interesting location alongside the Blue Mosque. Excellent all round. Older building so no lift.

Staff was helpful and they were doing their best but first on my arrival I had booked an elegance superior room with a sea view, was very disappointed when I saw the room was smell damp and asked to change it the second room wasn't sea view but acceptable

The best thing about the Avicenna are its wonderful staff and its excellent location. We were not happy with our room and bathroom, both of which were shabby (some features not working) and did not have coffee as an amenity, even though it was included at the time of booking. The breakfast was OK, could be better. However, the staff's wonderful attitude and swift responses to all our needs and requests, plus the hotel's great location made up for these -ves. I do hope the hotel can further improve its not-so-bad breakfast and fix missing/non-functional elements in my room. Otherwise, I look forward to staying here again :-)

We really enjoyed this well located and very nicely priced hotel. We even had a balcony overlooking the Bosphorus and breakfast! Really nice hotel for the price.

Cant beat the location. Easy walk to the Sultanamet Sites. Not new or ultra fancy but it was very clean and quaint. Front staff was very helpful.

Excellent area, close to main attractions, plenty of restaurants next to hotel. Room was comfortable, with a nice balcony with a view to Bosphorus, could do with some upgrading. Staff very accommodating, couldn’t ask for more. We’ve been to this hotel for second time and I’m sure there will be a third on. Thank you Avicenna!!

Excellent location, very clean.
We stayed only one night in early May. The air-conditioning was not on in the room, but the temperature was pleasant. The little balcony was nice in the evening sun, but there was no sign of the promised bathrobes. The breakfast was mostly Turkish and healthy, which suited us.

Quirky hotel in a great location with a good range of restaurants near by. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast was relatively basic.
