Convenient for family groups and travelers who would like to enjoy the old city of İstanbul by walking. Since the street that the building is located within the territories of OLD CITY vehicle traffic is not allowed between 10:00 AM till 18:00 PM so if you come by taxi you should be coming to the Main street called Kadirga Limanı Caddesi, Kumkapı 70, 34126\. Once you reach there, you will see SOK Market. The building is just across the SOK Market in Sarayici sok on the left which has stairs. If you come with tram you need to get off the tram T1 at Beyazıt Station and walk down hill heading the sea around 5 minutes. This Building is a traditional wooden Turkish house and because of it the ceilings and floors are all wood .Please respect to the guests below your apartment and do not make any vocuming before 10:00 am and pay attention to keep the noise down as much as you can during your stay. Lastly, according the laws in Turkey the hotels and the accommodation providers has to send the passport details of the guests to the police station. On arriving the accommodation looked okay but has days passed the place was not what I saw as advertised. There was continual rubbish outside apartment, women and children sat on steps on street and felt very much I was being watched. There was a smell in the kitchen from the outside which didn't go away (I was in basement apartment and this wasn't fully explained to me) dirty spare sheets, and dirty sofa, continual buzzing noise in kitchen and the outside patio area the furniture is old and its quite noisy so didn't sit outside. I was only staying 5 nights and didn't think I would be able to swap or get a refund during stay as it was such a short stay and it's not like its a hotel and Ertan didn't explain this to me that this was possible. He didn't write once to ask if everything was ok. I wrote to Ertan after me trip and showed him photographic proof of how bad apartment and asked for a refund and he accused me of not being honest and telling him sooner and refused any refund and now hasn't even looked at the message that I replied to him on whatsapp. This apartment isn't in a good place in Fatih and is not like the pictures and the outside is very dirty. Fatih is a place with more Syrian refugees I complained to Ertan about this and he said they do collect rubbish but a lot is still left floating about on the street. I do not understand why this property has such good reviews and the are misleading. I asked Ertan who can I complain to officially and he didn't respond with a name and said I should just deal with him. I genuinely don't feel he cares that I had a really bad experience at the accommodation and that is the saddest part about it all and felt it really ruined my trip and this accommodation cost a lot of money. I then felt threatened as he said I can leave a review and he will leave one about me and the public can decide, like its a competition!! Its not a competition, what I write is the truth and if you have any sense you will not book at this accommodation and I am really disappointed with Ertan as a person and the organisation simply do not care. I also have left something valuable in property so Ertan I assume you will read this as you have not looked at my Whatsapp message, so can item be returned, did request this ##### lisa g. It is 5-10 minute walk up a hill to the tram stop, quite convenient for feeling so out of the bustle of the more touristy areas, and the owner conveniently provided an Istanbulkart (rechargeable card for the local metro/tram/busses/ferries) that we could use during our stay. Mrs. Gull, who met us on our first day, speaks little English but we were able to communicate clearly. She helped us to find local supermarkets, and provided fresh towels and sheets every few days. We stayed in the garden apartment (lowest level, slightly below street level), and found it to be clean and quiet. ##### Shannon R.
