Hamitbey hotel is one of those little 'jewels' you find when you dig through the huge number of options for hotels in Istanbul. Clean, quiet, and very close to all major attractions (I recommend using the train or taxi for convenience). Close to multiple EXCELLENT restaurants. The only drawback is the bed - I am 6 foot 2 inches tall, and so I had to sleep at an angle. However - the bed was comfortable and I slept like a rock! The breakfast bar is EXTENSIVE with many options to fit multiple palates - lots of vegetarian selections. The food is well-prepared, and of course the coffee and tea were excellent! Finally - the staff are wonderful at pointing out attractions and travel options. My husband was having tea in the downstairs bar as I was napping, and the staff invited him to sit with them as they had their evening dinner. So kind, and so welcoming. Just a wonderful experience.

Fantastic Hotel
Stayed at the hotel for 7 days. The Hotel was in a great location, with plenty of Shops, Restaurants & Metro, etc. right outside the hotel. We stayed in a double room which was small but perfectly adequate. The Bathroom was spotlessly clean with a great shower, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were all 1st class and very friendly. When I return to Istanbul I will definitely be staying at the Hamitbey Hotel.

The property is located in a very convenient area with all the amenities nearby. Literally the metro, tram station and the ferry wharf at walking distance. The restaurants and takeaways at stone throw away plus the advantage of kfc and mcdonalds near the hotel. The staff and the owner were helpful as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for accommodation in Istanbul. Will be using this hotel again for my next visit to Istanbul.

The rooms are very small we could barely fit two suitcases. Missing a lot of regular amenities like tissues, sometimes toilet paper. They never sweep the floor or clean the shower during even a week long stay. Very nice front desk person called Yussef that was a highlight, but not enough to come back. We had to switch rooms (2 separate reservations) but they didn’t want to keep us in the same room and my daughter happened to leave her ear buds in the first room. The tracking pointed to the room but they kept saying they don’t have it. Very disappointed.

Excellent hotel! Amazing and friendly staff, they are very accomodating and look after you well. Great buffet breakfast, good variety of food, especially the scrambled eggs and fresh bread, everything is always topped up. They include all hot/cold drinks too. Room got included thoroughly daily and love that they give complimentary water everyday. Hotel location is good, loads of restaurants nearby, dessert shops and grocery/supermarkets.

I really do recommend this hotel to everyone. Please do not just take my word for it go and visit, you will not be disappointed. It is modern, very clean and the location is excellent for shopping plus the Metro station is 1 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast is very good with a great selection and is fresh and hot. The spa and swimming pool are also amazing and although we were not able to get a massage they said by next week they would have someone available. I really want to say how impressed we were with the how attentive the staff were especially Mehmet and Yusef who were most helpful. I looked at so many reviews before I picked Hamitbey Hotel and I am so glad I did. Will definitely be back in a few months.

Very nice room and friendly staff. The area is great for tourists. The only negatives are the sound proofing (you can hear everything in adjacent rooms) and the airport shuttle ordering service offered by the hotel (paid $40 USD a week prior to departure but the morning of was told they didn't book the shuttle after all. Front desk ended up calling a cab which would have cost less if ordered through Uber). Overall happy with the stay.

Wir hatten für ein langes WE mit 2 Erwachsenen und einem Teenager ein Basic-Dreibettzimmer gebucht. Das Doppelbett ist mit 1,40m recht knapp, die Zimmer ausreichend groß. Super Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal und eine gute Lage. Alles sehr sauber. Die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuß oder auch bequem mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen.

Underwhelming experience
We had three rooms, one was under earth level with no phone recieption, other was placed in a maintenence corridor. We litterelly had to zigzac by cleaning trollies to access the room. For saftety/evacuation reasons we wish that this information would have been communicated to us prior to our visit. The sound level was very high, the first night no one could sleep due to raised voices from either other guests, reception or staff in a nearby room seemingly working. We did manage to change 2/3 rooms, which was great but sound level did not improve.

notre séjour dans cet hotel est une longue histoire qui a débouché sur l'ouverture d'une procédure d'expedia contre l'établissement pour insécurité et remboursement de la dernière nuit associée à un bon pour se reloger en urgence...bien qu'ayant réservé la plus belle chambre de l'hotel selon les mots utilisés par mail, nous nous sommes retrouvés dans une chambre donnant sur un mur...après avoir obtenu un changement de chambre après insistance. Lorsque nous sommes rentrées un soir, une clef était dans notre chambre, lumière et tv allumée, certains objets changés de place, motif avancé par le personnel: nous rentrons dans les chambres tous les jours pour vérifier l'internet sur la tv...regards moqueurs de l'équipe, bien contents que leurs manœuvres d'intimidation ait fonctionné..je passe sur une salle d'eau très exiguë, de bruits incessants toute la nuit, une alarme incendie à 1h du matin sans aucune conséquence, un quartier hors de prix mais sans aucun intérêt et très insécure et un petit déjeuner insipide au sous sol. Seul point positif, la propreté. Un conseil fuyez....ces gens sont au mieux malhonnêtes et au pire, dangereux... les avis positifs sont probablement certains de leurs amis...

Établissement au top il y a juste un petit manque concernant la piscine qui est froide car elle n'est pas chauffée mais le hammam et le sauna font largement l'affaire

Hamitbey Hotel is a nice place to stay, the Staff is very friendly and helpful, specially the night shift, he tried to assist us and help with everything. Rooms are nice and clean, and very new. breakfast was nice, with many options. the pool and sauna was a very good experience! is a must go after a long day of touristic walking. so far I recommend this hotel, we are looking forward to visit you again.
