I couldn't reach it without first putting car in park, taking off seatbelt, rolling down window, and opening door in order to reach the keypad. Why not a remote? We found it the perfect place to get away and do some work as well as annual planning. Highly recommend this unit. The layout is great for privacy since all three bedrooms are separated.
