Could see the ocean but room got very hot due to the big window to see the sea and beach and no Aircon to cool just a fan.

We had a great stay at Hotel Margarita. The staff were so helpful and nice. For example, they gave advice on how to get there as we weren't sure whether to drive or boat, then booked the boat for us and transported our luggage and us from the beach. The rooms spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The pool is nice to cool off in. We stayed 4 nights with our 2 teenagers and we all really liked it. Nice relaxed vibe.

Wow what a place! It was marvellous from start to finish! The views spectacular! The staff are wonderful, we were served by Jose, Francisco and Roxy, they couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel special. The food was amazing each night, the attention to details from the chef is second to none. The rooms were cleaned meticulously too. I can’t recommend El Castillo enough. A truly magical slice of heaven!

The lodge is beautifully designed, open plan, wooden construction, cottages set in the forest open to the sights and sounds. The food is lovely. There are a range of public spaces and well made trails into primary forest giving several kilometres of walking. An ideal place to come and relax - far enough off the beaten track to be calm and secluded, but with great access to rainforest and beaches, and also a good base for exploring Corcovado. The hotel is recently built, and very modern, in an understated/classy way. Villas have a whole wall of windows and an enormous balcony, so made it easy to watch the morning routine of the toucans. Norlyn and Gabriella were great hosts, very friendly and helpful in organising a range of tours/activities and onward travel. The Cabinas are located within easy access of the centre of the village and the beach. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and guests had the use of a kitchen with cooking facilities and fridge which was a great bonus.

Hotel Villa Drake is a lovely small family run hotel at the top of the small town. The family are very friendly and happy to help, they cooked us a fresh breakfast every morning, even when we needed it at 5:20am. They arranged tours for us and the father is also a taxi driver so took us to the airport at the end of our trip for a reasonable price. We had a great 6 nights at Casa Gitana, we had a lovely room with a shady private patio, our room was cleaned everyday and the staff were great. Breakfast was included and there is a restaurant for lunch and dinner. It's a short walk to the beach and many tours can be organised at the hotel. Thanks.

Hi This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. Aguila del Osa is a dream hotel with wonderful views from the bedroom and main lobby/restaurant. The hotel gardens are beautiful and we saw many birds including hummimg birds right outside our room. There is a nice walk around the hotel and you can also take a trail into the rainforest and the nearby Cocalito Beach, All the staff speak excellent english and are very friendly and provide excellent service. Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Location was amazing and the villa was stunning. Waking up to the jungle surroundings through the bedroom was fantastic. Beautiful quiet area with a great soda nearby. Wishes we’d booked 3 nights!

Tangara Azul is a little gem, lovely accommodation with lots of living space and a kitchen, nice pool and grounds, easy 15 min drive to Uvita, much better value than staying there. Also has the citrus restaurant and a deli on site.
