"It was surprisingly comfortable and attractive. Also quite functional. I definitely think about coming back to this place next time I be in this area. Meantime you have to know that the property is not staffed after 7 PM or 8 PM and you have to check in by unlocking the key code provided by the owner. Still it was very efficient."

"This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Free shuttle service available too to pick up from/drop off to Kagaonsen station. Thumb up!"

However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area. "

"I love the Tanbo no Yu! I can tell that its being fixed up more everytime I come here! This time, really enjoyed the pure stream bath it was very warm and a comfortable place to chat with my husband. The food was delicious and healthy with many flavors and unlimited hokuriku rice! "家族4人での年に1回の旅行で利用させて頂きました。部屋はイメージ通り、以上の広さと快適な空間でした。3つある浴場、温泉はどこも露天風呂があり日頃の疲れを癒せました。また時間ごとにイベントがあり（温泉卵作りや温泉饅頭サービスなど）楽しみもありました。料理は地元の食材から鮮魚までとても美味しく、特に鮑の姿焼きは焼く楽しさと美味しいさでとてもよかったです。館内は上品で落ち着いた雰囲気でとても良い家族旅行の思い出になりました。"

"客室の古さも感じました。 宿泊者特典もあったが、全て終了時間が早かった。 (カラオケ1時間無料とあるが 、21時までとか)。チェックイン15時からの時間でないと取れない。 フロントスタッフが笑いながら、私達に説明している姿に腹が立ちそうになりました。 また、お風呂入替え制でしたが、女性風呂時間に男性が入っていた。スタッフが注意をしてくれたが、そもそも、わかるようにインフォメーションしてほしい。 夕食バイキングでしたが、食材盛り皿の回りが、落ちていても気にならないスタッフでした。雄山閣は人には進めないと思いました。"
