It had everything we could want to feel comfortable and at home. We enjoyed the wood fireplace and hot tub after hiking the Porcupine Mountains. 5 waterfalls on the way to the Black River Rec area and Copper Peak were all within 15 minutes. This was our first visit to the UP and we can’t wait to get back to this very place. We loved this cottage, it was very well cared for. Unfortunately for our family it was only convenient for 1/2 of us. Our boys came to go snowmobiling and us girls went Skiing/snowboarding. There is no snowmobile trail from this area so they had to ride miles on winding pavement roads against traffic :( For snowmobiling reasons only, we will not be back.
