Selected this hotel as it looked interesting and cool. Located within walking distance to the main market square/shops. Room was spacious, however did not have a working air-conditioner (suspect this has not been working for a while as the remote was missing) so beware if staying there during warm weather. Ceiling fan also not working, so the room was very uncomfortably hot and stuffy to sleep in. Staff brought 2 desk fans to plug in, but this just noisily blew hot air around. Windows can be opened, but will not stay open itself unless you jam something in there. Not very professional. Plus as the hotel faces the street and is nearby to church, it is very noisy to leave window open overnight. Bathroom looks nice, but not practical to use. The basin taps are on the side and hard to adjust seperate hot/cold taps without spraying water all over yourself and the floor. The kettle supplied in room doesn't even fit properly under the tap, so it's difficult to fill it up to use. Did anyone even check the usability of the room before buying kettle?? As a nice touch, they supply complimentary mini bottles of shampoo and wash to use. Mini fridge supplied, but very old and did not keep items cool. Bedside light is fluorescent, which is very old school and not pleasant for eyes late at night. Bed was OK, nothing special. Would not stay here again in future, as there are much better hotels nearby for the same (or lower) price

Stayed before, great facilities helpful reception staff.

We stayed at The Gresham Aparthotel on Saturday night. While the hotel itself was clean, the room was very nice and well presented, unfortunately our stay was very much ruined by the noise throughout the night. Our room was at the front of the building and the noise from outside was extremely loud. We experienced people shouting, swearing and singing, car horns, sirens and general street noise continuously throughout the night, right through until around 7am on Sunday morning. As a result, we got very little sleep. We appreciate that the hotel is in a central location, and the website proudly highlights this as a benefit. However, we feel that the significant downside of this location should also be made clear to guests, particularly that rooms at the front of the building are likely to be affected by substantial overnight street noise. It’s a real shame because the actual hotel and room were lovely, but getting hardly any sleep meant that we were unable to properly enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we won’t be returning or recommending The Gresham Aparthotel in the future.
