(134 reviews) We had the most delightful stay at the Whispering Pines Hotel. Spotless hotel with delightful and polite staff. The night was very stormy but we felt warm and cosy and despite the numerous times the electricity cut out the generators kicked in and we were back on with power with no fuss. The Abbey was under renovation at the time but most of it was open. If you are staying in Oban you can book at the ferry terminal which includes a ferry to Mull, shuttle across Mull to the harbour to meet the tour boat. Remember to pack a lunch. Words cannot describe the experience of having a few hours seeing these beautiful birds so close up and so many. The photo shows one looking up watching a seagull glide across the cliff top. There are also fulmars and razorbills.
