We ended up not staying here and going to a nearby hostel. No staff to be found anywhere. We booked hagrids hut, which looked nice and cute when first opening the door however when we actually looked around the hut was filled with insects, dead and alive. Some insects are to be expected of course you’re surrounded by trees, but we did not expect to find dead insects stuck to the walls, ceiling, under the bed, lamp shade and the mirror was covered in cobwebs. There was nothing to stop bugs coming in either as there were big gaps in the door frame. This lead us the question the last time the hut was actually cleaned and whether the bed sheets were even fresh. Facilities were the same, insects everywhere, however the facilities themselves were actually okay and functional. Another reason we didn’t stay was our window didn’t have curtains or blinds which we were very uncomfortable with as a foot path went right around the hut. We just knew we’d have spent the whole night swatting away bugs and being paranoid about someone looking into the window.
