(11 reviews) I traveled with my wife and 13-year-old daughter to Budapest in the summer of 2025\. The Harmonia Palace is on the periphery of Budapest’s city center. The reasons I chose the Harmonia Palace are: - Each unit is spacious. There were three of us, and I wanted us to be comfortable and have our own space. There is a small kitchenette and a table with four seats for dining. We stayed in the Jade Heritage suite, which had two enormous windows that let in plenty of natural light. - The building used to be a duke’s mansion. They preserved the classic design but renovated it luxuriously. I really liked the interior design. Location-wise, it’s not in the very center, but it’s conveniently close to the Hungarian National Museum and Central Market Hall. One big advantage of its location is that it’s only a 3-minute walk from the airport shuttle stop. I find rideshares and taxis in some parts of Europe a bit shady, so I always try to use the airport shuttle when available. Harmonia Palace is just one stop away from the airport if you take the 100E bus, which also runs throughout the night. The reasons I did not give Harmonia Palace five stars are: - We arrived in Budapest after 9:30 pm. Their check-in hours are 9 am - 9:30 pm, so we had to pay €40 for late check-in. I’ve never had to pay for late check-in. (220 reviews) The rooms are quiet because most face a courtyard and they have excellent sound proofing from the hallways Top notch staff who know the area well and have useful tips so I’d recommend asking them before you decide anything. They can book it for you. It’s close to restaurants and public transportation. It is an easy walk to the other side of the river or you can simply take a tram as well It’s got a simple breakfast not a full hot spread but there’s plenty of restaurants near by. The Hungarian restaurant across the street has wonderful local food. (371 reviews) I wish I had discovered this beautiful hotel before! I got stranded in Budapest due to a cancelled flight and I had to find accommodations the day after. I came across the Aurea Ana Palace Hotel by chance. The price for the stay was beyond reasonable, especially because I booked the same day I checked in. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. My room was meticulously clean when I arrived. Loved the bathroom! The breakfast room is gorgeous! The hotel is two streets down from the Parliament Building and close to tram, subway, and bus stops. There are great restaurants around it and also a conveniently close market. I will definitely be coming back to stay here in the future!
