"We had a wonderful stay at Ashley's property! The home was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The game room was fantastic, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed.Our only suggestion is to improve the cooling on the top floor during peak summer, as that bedroom tended to get quite hot.Overall, it was a great experience, and we'd be happy to stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Nice stay, clean hotel, friendly staff, easy access to the beach and nice pool. Could use a couple more umbrellas poolside. Bed pillows not great. Very lumpy so bring your own. Preference was to stay on the second floor, not the first floor with the doors out to parking lot. Breakfast is basic bagels, waffles, toast, muffins, yogurt and cereal. Kids really loved the waffles."

"We liked this rental and it was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the private community beach located a 5-minute drive away from the property. I did want to mention a couple things I found surprising based on the listing. One is that the listing says it has ‘dock access.’ This is not accurate. The house sits on a small lake. There are stairs that go down to a DECK on the water. There is no dock, and swimming and boating are prohibited in the lake. I think calling it a dock implies that you have access to get into the water in some way and you do not. It is not the river and it is not a dock. Both the listing title and photo are misleading. Second is stating that the property is half a mile from Colonial Beach. This is true ‘as the crow flies’ but in reality it is about a 20 minute drive away because you must go all the way around to the other side. We still enjoyed the property overall."

"This was a great stay for a quick trip to the beach — perfect setup for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very clean & great communication. The front porch was a highlight to watch the sunset over the bay and enjoy the evening breeze."

"This was my second time there and it did not disappoint. The house and the property was wonderful and relaxing for me and my grandchildren. We enjoyed the water, enjoyed fishing and enjoyed kayaking. I hope to visit again."

"We enjoyed our stay. The winery next door was a gem with the shaded courtyard and Sunday music. Setting is beautiful and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the Sunflower restaurant in Colonial beach. Also 1892 and boutique shop nearby. Unique antiques on Rt 301 was awesome. People in area are very friendly and welcoming"
