"Property was well lit at night. Quiet area. The room was very clean, very comfortable bed and pillows. The hottest shower I think I've ever had which was nice. The breakfast bar was very good. Would stay again if in the area"

"A clean and safe place to stay in Des Moines, especially by the airport. They also offer a park and stay deal, for those who need to fly out but leave their car somewhere. The staff were extremely kind, but we didn't have a pleasant experience with the lady running the breakfast in the morning. She could have been tired, but was short with us trying to make a waffle. The rooms are outdated, but in good condition for the most part. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area, which was also very clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and had many options for a hotel breakfast."

"Needs a renovation. Rooms were disgusting and rundown. Our room stunk of smoke and stagnant air. Went to open window which was full of black mold. Last two inches of stick used to secure window was all black mold. Have tried calling management three times and they are always gone for an emergency. Have not returned any of my calls. "

"I loved the pool, It was 8-9 feet. Which is very fun to swim in. The rooms were spacious and everything was neat and comfortable. We didn't really talk with staff but they seemed nice as we were checking-in."

"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Fort Des Moine. The room was lovely - l clean, spacious beautifully appointed with nice details. The bathroom was the same and extremely well lit. The staff could not have been more gracious. A real plus were the dining options. The food was delicious and their hours of operation were terrific for both the early riser and the late diner. This will not be my last stay."

"New property. Clean, modern. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but we were only staying one night. It was quiet. We saw several deer in the adjacent field when we woke up! Breakfast was standard. I prefer more fresh fruit options. Overall a good stay."
