We knew it was pet friendly but the unit smelled like cat and there was clumps of cat hair everywhere, kibble in the carpet, half a dozen dead wasps, mold in the bath, and all of the furniture was stained to varying degrees. We had a 1.5 yr old and didn’t feel comfortable having him crawling around in who knows what. We raised our concerns right away and the HomeBase team was extremely responsive. It was too late in the day to get a cleaning crew out right away so instead they allowed us to switch to another available property in the area right away that night. The other property was in great shape and we had no issues with that space. The HomeBase did all they could to make up for the issues and were very responsive throughout. They definitely helped salvage a stressful situation. I’m hoping that our issues were just a miss on the cleaning crew because even tho the unit is old, it is in a great location, and would’ve probably been a great place to stay. So we’d pass on this unit again but the HomeBase team did seem to do everything in their power to make things right and help us out. ##### Tyler B. The only bathroom is upstairs and I could see how the window AC units upstairs could be overwhelmed if it was a really hot day in Indy. The downstairs is well appointed and fairly large--a swivel mount for the TV would make the living room a more functional space. The owner/operator was responsive and communicative. The location was terrific for Butler Homecoming weekend--we were able to walk almost everywhere we needed to go as well as use Pacer e-bikes for everything else. I recommend it for couples/friends who want the location but are okay with more of a bare-bones, frill-free, but very functional space (kitchen was great--nice to drink coffee on the back deck).
