If you read through the other reviews going back 2 years, and ignore "wildcards" that seem inconsistent - you have a proper understanding of what to expect. For context, I generally have high expectations for properties, and this fits within the ball park of my expectations for the cost.
For us (parents with young kids), this was all about location and convenience (private pool, ocean view & access, nearly private beach) in a great area (Indian River Shores; A+) and a short drive (5 min) from restaurants/shops, & things to do. All of that was great (A+) and exceeded my expectations.
Downsides? While well furnished, and everything was in working order and generally clean, the wear and tear on the property is all pretty evident and can be nit-picked variously, depending on your inclination. Family room, TV, Internet, kitchen appliances, beds, towels... all fine, no problems or issues there. Surprisingly, no extras (no beach umbrella, beach toys, etc... we left ours, so hopefully they'll be there in the future).
There is still construction happening on the adjacent (south) property which overlooks the pool. We knew about it ahead of time because we asked the owner and he was forthcoming (see bing maps; google doesn't have it on there yet). He noted that he didn't expect exterior work, but there was moderate exterior work during our stay, weekdays primarily 9am - 1pm. Not terrible, but it was a bit more than we expected.
I'd rent it again.
