My husband and I brought our daughter and teenaged granddaughter for a first-time visit to Lake Tahoe from July 6-13, 2016. I hesitate to recommend this condo too much, because I'd like it to be available for us again when we want it! But, the truth is, we loved it. The location is perfect for what we wanted - right across the street from the Action Water Sports Marina where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, and jet skis, or go out on the Sierra Cloud for a relaxing two-hour ride around Tahoe's north shore. Remember to sign up for the boat ride to Thunderbird Lodge, where you will also tour and learn the history of the lodge; it is worth the trip! There is nearby Austin's Restaurant only a two-minute walk away, and the Hyatt's Lone Eagle Grill (more expensive), just across Lakeshore Blvd. on the lake. The Hyatt is across the street if you like gambling or want a terrific breakfast in their cafe. Be sure to enjoy an early morning or evening stroll along Lakeshore Blvd. to breathe the healthful air and enjoy the immaculate landscaping of the beautiful homes. Now, the condo: It is one of the best we've stayed in. It is very nicely decorated in both furniture and artwork, and has plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked with what you need. In nice weather, the large deck is where you'll spend a lot of time for morning coffee, relaxing, or an evening beverage. The furniture is very comfortable, there is plenty of room for everyone, and this condo is clean! The firmness of the master bedroom mattress was mentioned in another review - yes, it's firm and very comfortable! It reminded me of the mattresses in The Grand on Mackinaw Island, MI. If this sounds like a fake review, sorry, but it's genuine. We live in Dublin, OH and have been coming to Tahoe, where our son lives, for 23 years. We recommend this condo.
