London (LON) to Puerto Maldonado (PEM)
7/10 Good! (2 reviews)
This hotel lists their location as downtown Puerto Maldonado. Actual location is 20+ minutes outside the town on a dirt road. Impossible to get taxi service to town. The additional trips for food for our Amazon excursions cost 60 soles each way. Driver said price is higher since you have long trip just to pickup client. Resort wanted to charge me for Dinner and Breakfast when my reservation stated both were included.
Staff at resort were nice and understood our frustration with situation. When originally checking in they did not know we were coming and had to contact someone to determine if we could have a room.
If you want an Amazon adventure they are probably a good place to visit, but for an overnight stay, double check the location of the actual property.
