"Love this cabin! My brother and two sisters and I meet in Idyllwild twice a year and stay at this cabin. It is cozy but roomy. Love the huge fireplace and the large deck. If fact as I said before we just love the cabin!"

"I spent a single night at this resort so that I could get an early start on a hike to Tahquitz Peak. I didn't have high expectations for accommodations in a small town like Idyllwild so I was pleasantly surprised by the Tahquitz Pines Retreat. The rooms were comfortable and the campus was well laid out. I especially enjoyed the restaurant and bar onsite which had really good food and a surprisingly large menu. Should I come back to the area, I would stay here again."

"We stayed 2 nights as a weekend get-away to celebrate our anniversary. This is a beautifully renovated property in a perfect location within easy walking distance to the town of Idlewild, but still in a fairly quiet location with natural surroundings. The room was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. A wonderful breakfast and a happy hour with wine and snacks are provided. Jenn, who was responsible for setting up these events in the dining area did a fantastic job of assembling a wide variety of delicious treats. Be aware that the remote check-in procedure, which must be done on the day of arrival, can be tricky and that most of the time there is no staff on-site. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Idlewild."

"I had a frustrating experience with this stay. As a first-time visitor to the area, I expected at least a general location or address ahead of time so I could plan my trip and know where I was heading. Unfortunately, the hosts refused to provide any address until right before check-in at 3PM. While I understand safety and privacy concerns, not giving guests any sense of location in advance makes it very difficult to plan, especially when traveling to an unfamiliar city. It added unnecessary stress trying to figure out logistics last minute. On top of that, they were very strict about the exact time 3PM they would release the address and entry code, with no flexibility or consideration for travel planning. Overall, the lack of communication and transparency took away from the experience. I would recommend future guests clarify these details before booking if having advance information is important to you."

"It was a place to stay. It had the basics. However, the heater didn’t quite make it to the rooms so we were cold each night. No wood stove was present. No dishwasher either. The house was to different from the photos. I know there was a statement saying to bad, but with how many things were different, it should warrant updated photos. The table was different, couches were different, carpet was different. Lights were different, no wood stove, no dishwasher. Oh, and the neighbors have a horse. Who doesn’t abide by the quiet hours. So at 3am each morning, we got to listen to the horse 5 feet from the window. Oh, and the deluxe package for 199 bucks. That was a joke. Maybe 60 bucks worth of cheap wine and candy. The “assorted” nuts were honey toasted almonds. The dozen roses were real, but the pedals on the bed were as fake as the listing. Total waste of money. We won’t be staying here again."
