MidCentury Cabin-Deck w Killer Views Near Hiking At Humber Park Dog Friendly
Welcome to Lazy Arrow Lodge!
This cozy, rustic cabin with modern touches is tucked under the magnificent Tahquitz Peak and nestled between mature, towering pine, cedar and oak trees. The views are magical and restorative - to the East you’ll find Tahquitz Peak towering over the cabin and to the West you can watch the sun set behind the mountains as it’s rays peek through the mature trees on our ½ acre lot. Awesome. Listen to the birds chirping, the woodpeckers pecking, the wind rustling through the trees…and sometimes…the silence. This is the perfect spot for you to unwind, recharge, restore, connect, disconnect, think and not think.
This classic cabin has been lovingly designed with a tastefully curated mix of mid-century modern, cabin and basecamp chic. From the custom Pendleton couch pillows to the charger for your iPhone...it’s got rustic charm yet has modern touches.
Architecturally speaking, as soon as you enter, you’ll feel the cabin’s relaxed and cozy vibe with the all wood interiors, the spacious brick, wood burning fireplace and the high ceilings and windows that look out to greenery throughout it’s 950 square feet. The deck has a 270 degree view, but our favorite view is looking right up to Tahquitz Peak. You can enjoy your morning coffee as you gaze up to it and sip your evening cocktails as you watch it turn from orange to pink while the sun goes down. The cabin is located on a large, ½ acre lot, which is filled with mature pine, oak, cedar and manzanita trees. It’s also fully fenced in so your fur babies will love running up and down the yard and sniffing the land.
The cabin is located in northern Idyllwild in the upscale neighborhood of Fern Valley. It's at a higher elevation than the town of Idyllwild which means you'll get more snow! Only a 2 minute drive/20 minute walk to Humber Park, which is the jumping off point for many awesome hikes of all levels. And you’ll be a five minute drive into the center of the quaint little town where you’ll be able to browse cute shops, go wine tasting or pop into one of the charming restaurants.
KITCHEN, BREAKFAST BAR The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking/baking/roasting/bqqing needs...there's even a fondue set. Foodies will appreciate! Pull up a stool to the breakfast bar and enjoy a meal there or eat at the 4 person table where you can watch the sun trickle through the trees. Or barbeque outside and enjoy a meal at the outdoor dining table or outdoor couch.
BEDROOMS Drift off to a restorative sleep in either bedroom. Both bedrooms look up to Tahquitz Peak and have two story windows. Sleep blissfully in the super comfy and cozy King and Queen mattresses and enjoy the stylish Pendleton blankets, (washable wool, of course!), when it gets chilly.
LIVING ROOM Movie and game night is elevated here in front of a roaring wood fire. Watch your favorite shows on the 4k 49” Roku TV. Choose from one of the many boards games to play…from chess to Operation, there’s a game for everyone. Cuddle up on one of the luxurious leather couches with custom Pendleton pillows and washable Pendleton throws. Set your vibe with the record player and choose between the carefully curated album collection. Or hook up your devices to a bluetooth speaker and stream your own music. The internet has download speeds of 356 mbps…which means you’re good to go for all your wifi needs.
BATHROOMS Enjoy the renovated main bathroom. Just because The Lazy Arrow is a classic cabin doesn’t mean we don’t like luxury. Wash the hiking dirt away under the rain shower as you look out of the skylight up to the trees. There's also a powder room off of the primary bedroom.

OTHER INFORMATION
Our cleaning staff increased their normally stringent cleaning policies, when Covid was at it's peak, and have just kept those standards going. (please see our reviews, our cabin is spotless!). In addition to our vigilant cleaning, we also sanitize all high touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, remotes, fridge/stove/cabinet handles etc…While the crew is turning the cabin around, the cabin is opened up to allow the air to vent…so rest assured you’ll have a worry free stay.
We do not have traditional cable. We do have a Roku TV and Apple TV so you can log into all your apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu etc etc.
While there is hand soap and hand lotion, we do not provide shower toiletries.
Please check Caltrans for weather conditions. If it's snowing, we will do our best to plow our long steep-ish driveway for you, upon arrival. The roads into Idyllwild, main roads and road to our cabin are plowed but you still might need 4x4 and/or chains.
2 night minimum...but for holidays like President's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day & Veteran's day we require a three night minimum. For Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years we require a four night minimum.

This is our favorite place to stay! Kelly is so on tbop of everything for the cabin which is awesome. The cabin is always clean and inviting. Our dogs love the big fened in yard. Cant wait to be there again.
We had a wonderful stay! The house was exactly as described, comfortable, and very clean. Good restaurants and coffee shops in town, just a few minutes drive. Close proximity to trails. We spent a lot of time just bird watching on the deck. We would most definitely return!
We loved our stay at this charming cabin! There are so many comfortable spots to lounge and soak in the atmosphere, and the views are incredible! We will be back!
Enjoyed my stay, the cabin is comfortable, nice, & clean. Relaxing get away, lovely pine trees on the property & beautiful view of the large rock mountain. Thank you again!
This cozy and quiet cabin is comfortable, clean, and close to fun restaurants and cafes in Idyllwild and lovely walks in San Bernardino National Forest. The property features a peaceful outdoor area among the trees, and the host was extremely helpful and responsive. We would like to stay here again!
Beautiful home near Devil’s slide and Earnie Maxwell trails.
We loved the accommodations and the beds/ linens were very comfortable. The views from the deck were beautiful! Our dogs loved exploring the giant yard. We also loved the turn table with vintage LP’s. We had wonderful time and would highly recommend.
It was so cute & clean. Lots of kitchen pot & pans plus small appliances. Great Sharp Roku tv. Beds comfortable & loved the wool Pendleton blankets. Great fireplace too. Town & trails close
Lazy Arrow Lodge is a peaceful cabin set on 1/2 acre just a few miles from town. The trees surrounding the property are beautiful & the interior is exactly as represented online.
The fireplace works beautifully and was so nice on some cool November days! I will definitely be back.
Thanks,Kelly
We loved this place. It was clean and comfortable. Fireplace and entertainment area were much . appreciated. Showers were hot and beds were large and comfortable. Neighborhood quiet and the views are amazing. The size and layout were homey and just perfect for us. The check in was simple with easy communication with the owner. Highly recommend this cabin.
I have never seen my dogs so happy. The fenced yard is perfect for scampering after balls and squirrels. We visited when I was still recovering from a broken ankle and not yet able to do a ton of walking. Fortunately, the airy open living room is perfect for just lounging and enjoying the view of the trees. The patio is the same.
Everything was just lovely! The home is as described and you can tell the host really cares about their guests' experience. The place has a really homey "vibe" - right down to the personalized message left by the host when you arrive. The cabin is warm and cozy and it's right near some of the best hikes and trails, convenient to Hummer Park trailhead. We really enjoyed taking long hikes by day, having dinner in town (we recommend Ferro) and then back to the cabin for movies and long competitive Scrabble games with Sinatra and Coltrane playing on the record player. It was just what we needed. Leading up to the trip Kelly was so responsive and accommodating. If you stay here you won't be disappointed.
We had a terrific time at this cabin. Perfect size, great location (close to Hummer Park trailhead), and beautiful views with a solid or h for entertaining. Cabin was clean, well appointed kitchen, and comfortable beds. Property Manager was very responsive and attentive to our needs. Only minor issue was not knowing we needed to bring toiletries. Suggest lodging description or welcome materials include this for folks to prepare accordingly. Other than that 5 stars!
Everything was really nice. Very clean. We even used the bbq. Close to town and close to hiking. The host was easy to communicate with. If I had anything negative to say it would only be that there was food in the fridge and pantry.I just feel like everyone should bring their own and fridge and panty should be empty except maybe some spices.Other than that minor detail our stay was awesome. We even got some snow.
Beautiful view of Tahquitz Peak and Lilly Rock. Very comfortable cabin also with a large fenced in yard including the driveway. Our dog loved it. Only problem was no cell service with AT&T but they have a landline. We actually set up WiFi calling so no problem. We signed on to the cabin’s WiFi but had problems receiving emails and loading web sites on our phones and lap top. Used our Apple TV and watched all our favorite shows in the evening. Close to Humber Park and Idyllwild. Very relaxing.
This lovely home is just as advertised—it is warm and comfortable with loads of clean windows overlooking tall pines with a spectacular view of Tahquitz Peak. The furnishings are quite comfortable (e.g., leather couches and a large chair; live edge coffee table, dining table with two comfortable benches). The kitchen is well appointed with what we needed in terms of cooking implements and spices and other items. There are large substantial towels in the bathroom with the shower. The hosts have thought of everything, e.g., games, tech, and even a record player and some albums and even dog dishes. The large deck is comfortable when the weather is nice. We interacted as needed with Kelly who answered quickly and was very accommodating when we asked about staying an additional night. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we hope to return.
