Høyt & Lavt Climbing Park

The hotel was going through a remodel by floors which was not mentioned when I made the reservation. Apparently they were working on the 4th Floor when they booked us into Room 370 although the couple we were traveling with were given a room on the 6th floor. At 7:45am the next morning, an Impact Driver started drilling in the area directly above our room. The deafening sound woke us up. My husband was sick and why in the world they would have put us in that room when they KNEW what was happening is incomprehensible. After I complained, they gave us a key to room 601 ( why didn’t they put us in this room in the first place?) so my husband could comfortably rest during the day without the noise that continued through 5pm daily.We also learned that there was a charge for cleaning the room daily…if you don’t pay it, not only do they not CLEAN, they don’t take out garbage, remove used, wet towels, coffee cups, etc for your entire stay.

Convenient location with an amazing shawarma restaurant downstairs. Neighborhood felt safe and very walkable. Place was clean and exactly as described. Generally exceeded or met expectations. Easy laundry.

A wonderfully kept old building with lots of character. It would’ve been great to have stayed in the main building but we were allocated a room in the new annex. Very clean and orderly with the atmosphere of an officers’ mess. It was very quiet except for a small conference group. It is a walk away from the Navy Museum plus others. Pleasant walks are all round the property. While not the usual hotel experience it was novel.
