"Berry Hill Resort is a beautiful mansion steeped in rich Virginia history and elegance. We return several times each year to enjoy the country setting, the wonderful amenities and delicious meals in the restaurants and pub. This time we had the pleasure of seeing the huge beautifully lighted outdoor wedding venue and the wedding party enjoying the day-before festivities. Berry Hill is a perfect choice for a special cherished event or a quiet visit and a stroll around the mansion and grounds, swimming in the pool or exploring the mansion’s vibrant history."

"We had such a great stay! We absolutely loved Mayo Lake and couldn’t have asked for a better spot right on the water. The house had everything we needed and more, and there was something for everyone in our family to enjoy, no matter their age. The fishing on the lake was excellent, which was definitely a highlight of our trip! The owner was also very responsive and helpful with anything that came up during our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing lake getaway!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The owner was always quick to respond with any issues. There are a few things that could be addressed on the property. There were mushrooms growing at door to the balcony in the master. The oven downstairs never got above 175 after an hour. The blinds also needs to be addressed in the basement. Only 1 bedroom had decent blinds. The other had blinds that had big broken sections and in the open space that was also a sleeping area had no window coverings at all. We would stay here again, hopefully with the above issues addressed"

"We absolutely loved our stay and honestly wish we could leave more than 5 stars! The home was absolutely pristine, and it's obvious the hosts have put a tremendous amount of thought into every little detail that makes guests feel welcome and comfortable.We had four families with a total of 15 guests, and the house never felt crowded. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, relax, and enjoy time together.The welcome book we received prior to our stay was so helpful. It answered every question we had, and we really appreciated knowing ahead of time the shopping, grocery, and dining options nearby. The pizza place we tried was delicious!The kids had an amazing time with all of the games, and they spent hours at the lake using the paddleboards, kayaks, and floats that were provided. The adults were able to sit back and relax because of how much there was available there to entertain the kids. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed to prepare family meals each evening, and the beds were comfortable, making it easy to unwind after busy days.We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years, and this is easily one of our favorites. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed place to stay. Thank you Kelly for having us! If we could leave more than one review or more than five stars, we absolutely would!"

"This was a perfect property for our group3 adults, 2 young children, & 1 dog. The host is very responsive, the home is clean & comfortable, and all the little things to make your stay easy (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc etc etc) are provided. We also enjoyed using the fire pit & kayak!"
