Looking for an escape? This amazing hotel is perfect for anyone looking to spend a quiet weekend away from the world or for those that want to explore Yellowstone but need a quiet remote place to sleep. Fifteen miles from west Yellowstone and on the bank of lake Hebgen, it’s a perfect retreat. Across the road is a bar with a marina and it’s a nice place to wet your whistle and listen to live music. The rooms all have a generous balcony with amazing views of the lake. The motel is being updated slowly so the decor is a wild mix of yesteryear and high end embellishments. It was exactly what we wanted for our trip to see Yellowstone. Highly recommend this place. The rooms were clean and they include full kitchens, very nice for a quiet meal after hiking and exploring in the beauty that surrounds this place.

The property and the rooms were amazing but unfortunately the staff wasn’t. At the check in they tried to put us in the basement room with a view of a retaining wall. Every time we had a question about the area activities, etc., they had no answers for us. They told us about the roof top bar but every time we tried to go we couldn’t get in and they didn’t prioritize the hotel guests.
