The staff were very helpful and attentive, we very much appreciated their attention to us as tired travelers on our first night in Iceland. The hotel manager was extremely approachable, friendly, he answered all of our questions, and gave us great information for the next few days of our adventure. The property is under new ownership as of early 2026 and they are making visible improvements. The dinner was excellent and the breakfast was also very good. We asked for our thermos to be filled with boiling water and we had hot water for tea and coffee all day! The bed was very comfortable although they are upstairs in a loft. The hotel is very quiet and we did not hear noise from other guests. Leider gab es von oben (aus dem Bett) keinen Ausblick. Beim ausgezeichneten Frühstück waren wir alleine. Meget smukt beliggende hotel, med fantastisk udsigt til hvalfjorden, og fjeldene omkring. Meget hyggelig indretning af såvel værelser, som fællesarealer. Dejlig loungeområde, med udsigt over fjorden. Veltillavet og velsmagende middag og morgen. Hyggeligt værtspar og god betjening. Stemningen på dette smukke sted, emmer af æstetisk ro. Beautiful & peaceful boutique hotel is perched on one of the largest Fjord's in Iceland. Amazing views from the main hotel, especially from the restaurant and seating area. Two wonderful hot pots overlooking the fjord at the main hotel with the larger cottages having their own hot pot. Breakfast is amazing with fresh fruits, cooked eggs, bacon, yogurts, cereals, & smoked salmon. Dinner was delicious. Hotel has a relaxed vibe and the customer service is spot on often with the staff going above and beyond. Comfy beds with cosy bedding ensure a restful night sleep.
