"Nice hotel, quirky. Though the music in the bar/restaurant was a bit loud. Other than that a nice enough stay. Lacking in wardrobe space but okay for an overnight close to the M1. "

"Very disappointing stay. The room I booked was already occupied when I arrived. I was moved to a smaller room that did not match what I paid for three people, and my children had to find accommodation elsewhere. The place was not very clean and had an unpleasant smell. The kitchen was dirty. I did not even wait for breakfast. I chcked out very early in the morning."

"No complaints, we chose this hotel as it had a gym and although it was small, it was reasonably well equipped, enough to do a decent workout, but if there were more than a few people in it could get cramped quickly. Would stay again if we were in the area "

"Worst stay I have ever had and I’m not Picky. Slept on top of bed covers. Used a hoody over the pillow which smelt stale. The bedding looked tidy till I got in and smelt like someone else needed a wash. I should have left when I entered the room and it smelt like a Smokers room. Really disappointed with it. Slept really badly. "

"There was a strange smell in reception when I arrived. Staff were friendly enough, but despite checking in online they wanted ID to prove my age (which I didn’t have as i hadn’t realised/read I needed any). The room was recently refurbished and therefore in good condition - basic but really good value for money! Only issue was that it was noisy - I was room 1 which is next to reception and I could hear everything the staff were saying, as well as noise from the corridor."

"Clean property with good space. Stairs exceptionally steep which could be issue for many visitors. Could do with a few extra touches to make a short stay easier - soap in both bathrooms, bin bags, etc....Towels - larger, fluffier, more would be good.Dining space & lounge were really nice to hang out in. Homely."

"We stayed at Woodend Bungalow and loved every minute of being there .. kids enjoyed games room and open fields at the back. The house is equipped with everything for a very comfortable stay for 10 people .. tesco and co op are 3 mins drive away .. there was milk in the fridge left by the host alongwith home made cake and tea and coffee .. there was damp smell in the games room but it was bearable.. the games room had everything to keep teenage children occupied for hours .. kids dint touch their devices and spent most of their time playing table tennis and darts and other board games .. the hosts have provided everything from towels to hairdryers, toiletries , even a coffee machine .. it is a tassimo coffee machine and there was cafetière too. We took lots of things from home but didnt really use them because kitchen was equipped with everything u need to cook food . Foil, cling film, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablet etc, were also provided .. one thing to note is the dogs barking in the morning but you cant hear them in the rooms at the back .. people who slept in the rooms at the front of the property complained about it but it was hardly noticeable in the rooms at the back of the property.. all in all it was a very pleasant stay and we will definitely book again."
