Zion/Sand Hollow Retreat

  • Come enjoy Southern Utah at its finest in a safe, quiet neighborhood with plenty of comfort. Enjoy a lighted sports court with basketball and pickle-ball. Relax in this 2 bedroom apt. with an extra vanity, one full bath, laundry room with a full size washer dryer, small fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of space (just under 900 sqft.) private outdoor patio. Located 12 miles from St. George, 3 miles from Sand Hollow State Park and sand dunes, 30 miles to Zion National Park. Quail Lake State Park, Snow Canyon State Park, Tuacahn outdoor amphitheater close by. This is a downstairs apt with a private entrance. Owners on site and live upstairs (please be aware of possible noise from a family living upstairs) Bedroom one has a king bed, closet, love seat, two nightstands, dresser, with usb and plugins, and extra vanity, this bedroom has a vanity in it and is connected to the full bathroom. Bedroom two, has an additional king bed, love seat, lots of space. Laundry/food service area includes small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, washer, dryer, and simple dining bar. Outdoor area includes private patio with sitting area, also has access to a basketball/pickle-ball court with equipment provided, this court has lights and can be used from 7am to 10pm. Parking provided in front of the house, if you have a trailer, please contact owners for details. Parking must be off the street with access to the private entrance on a sloped concrete sidewalk. NO PETS, NO SMOKING on property of any kind.

We loved staying here! We were impressed by how spacious and clean the place was for the price! It was one of the more roomy places we had stayed in! Also, the bed was much nicer to sleep in than many we have slept in. The location is great also, especially if you like a more quiet and peaceful location.

Short Thanksgiving trip in St. George

Excellent property with incredible owners. Everything was clean and the washer and dryer was key. The owners thought of everything, from a coffee machine and microwave to the soap and dryer sheets. All of the comforts of home.

Perfect place for two guys that came to climb rocks.

Perfect place for two friends on vacation to climb rocks with their SxS not lay around their room. No kitchen but didn’t need one. Owner was great, very friendly and helpful. Plan to stay here again.

Wonderful little getaway

Perfect little cozy basement apartment with everything we needed. After a day of mountain biking the hot tub was very welcoming and the smart tv was perfect to relax and stream a movie for the evening. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Short stop on the way home

This place is immaculate. The hot tub was nice. It was too windy the day we were there to use the pickle-ball court, but hope to use it in the future. Would definitely stay here again. The host is a very nice guy. Family above was very quiet...we never heard them.

This is a beautiful room to stay in. Very clean. Nice neighborhood. My #1 need on vacation is peace and quiet. We had traveled for many hours and really needed rest. We got there at 3pm. Someone was working/cleaning/banging upstairs until 9pm. This is a beautiful room. But if you are looking for a quiet place for rest, I’d look for something else.

Don’t plan to eat anything

Couple of things I wish we would have known. Bring your own bowls, spoons, cups anything you may want to eat with. We planned a day of hiking so brought oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast. There was a microwave to make it but absolutely no way to eat or fix it so we ended up at a Maverick. Second if you have two couples, one couple MUST walk through the others bedroom to use bathroom or to get outside. Could get very awkward! Other than that we loved the quiet, neighborhood feel.

Great home in great neighborhood.

Loved staying in this house. Very nice safe neighborhood. Very spacious compared to the average hotel. Liked the extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. Liked the high ceilings. Loved having private washer and dryer in the room. Really enjoyed the nice yard and being able to play pickle ball at night with good court lighting. We could not figure out how to adjust the basketball hoop up to 10 feet, it seemed too difficut and gave up. We arrived after dark and the lighting on the path was very dim toward the bottom, but after the first time got used to it. Path going down to the lower level is a bit steep so it might be a challenge for people in wheelchairs or who struggle walking. Saw several dark reddish beetle bugs that seem native to the area and even found one crawling on the bed while we were watching tv; they seem harmless but a little surprized to find one inside. Hot tub was nice but found a couple live spiders maybe an inch and a half long that made us wonder how many more we would see. It would have helped to have some instructions on how to remove the hot tub cover and how to operate. Overall, loved staying here and would stay here again.
