Relaxing stay
We (5 Ladies) stayed in this cottage for 2 nights for my mother's 70th birthday. We all had an amazing time. The cottage, though a little outdated, was extremely clean, and had everything you need. The king and queen beds were very comfortable. The bunk beds were good for smaller people or kids. When you sit on the patio you can hear the waves crashing. This cottage is a 10 min walk to Whitepoint Beach resort. ⛱️ We used the facilities at Whitepoint. Swimming, sauna, and jacuzzi were great! My aunt and mom even got in to a massage. We went back in the evening for dinner. We had an amazing meal at the restaurant and then went into the bar area for some live music. We would definitely recommend and would book this cottage again!

Rustic Cottage in the Woods
A quiet, secluded cottage surrounded by lovely trees yet a short walk or drive to White Point Resort. The cottage is larger than it looks from the photos. Plenty of room inside and a nice deck outside. A plus, especially for those with children, is access to the facilities at the resort, including indoor and outdoor pools and a game room. The beach at the resort is stunning. It should be noted that the roads in the Whitepoint Estates area are gravel. Also it should be noted that there is an air conditioning unit in the master bedroom only. There are standing fans in the other bedrooms. Grocery shopping and restaurants are available in Liverpool which is about 15 minutes away. The resort also has a restaurant and golf course. A trip to Lunenberg was a highlight of our trip as was a hiking excursion to Kejimkujik Seashore (but make sure to use heavy duty insect repellent if you are going when it's warm.)

It’s tradition!
Going to this cottage has become tradition for my family and friends. For four years in a row our two young families have loved Janet’s cottage. It’s a prime location and the cottage is cozy and comfortable. The wine and chocolate from Janet are a nice touch :)

Excellent Family Accommodation!
We really enjoyed our mini vacation at Shellot Cottage. It was great to enjoy the pool, beach and other amenities at Whitepoint Resort but then to come back to this spacious accommodation which is located in a quiet and peaceful setting. Everything we would ever need was included and it was perfect for our family which included 3 generations. Janet was a great host and promptly answered all our questions and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were so pleased to receive an unexpected treat basket which was a great surprise! We are already planning for a return visit!

Perfect getaway
Our 2nd time staying at this property. Weather only cooperated for 1 day out of 3, but took full advantage of the White Point resort for the indoor pool for the kids! Highly recommend this property 👍

South Shore Stay
Janet has a wonderful private property here. It’s so wonderful that she shares it! Quiet and peaceful, with just the sound of the ocean nearby. The only thing I wish is that I had booked a longer stay!

Came to White Point Beach area for our nephew's wedding, loved the location and ability to use the resort's amenities. Place was bigger than it looked on website. It served our family well. Would book again if we are in the area again.

Great Getaway !
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shellot Cottage. The place was clean and very comfortable. The grandchildren enjoyed trail walks to White Point Lodge and the beautiful sandy beach . Everyone took advantage of the many amenities the Lodge had to offer….games room , indoor pool etc. The cottage outdoor games were a great hit too . Thanks again for providing a wonderful stay . Nice getaway spot
Enjoyed some family time here at Corkum’s Cottage. The cottage is as described and even larger than we anticipated. Beds are comfortable and kitchen equipped and large enough to cook meals. The walk to the resort is 10 min and we were given access to any activities as described. This is a great option for anyone looking ti be close ti the ocean and resort but wants more space and perhaps some cost savings.

Perfect spot!
My 4 year and I loved this spot! Lots of nature trails with deer, bunnies, birds and salamanders for us to explore. The beach at Summerville is truly one-of-a-kind and if you’d rather stay close you can check out the awesome Sandy beach just a short walk away at White Point. Janet was so lovely and gave us great ideas for our rainy days. The cottage is bigger and even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Truly a lovely spot. Thank you so much!

Great cottage stay within walking distance of White Point
Cottage was exactly as pictured. Walking distance to White Point with access to their amenities. Kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed (coffee and filters, oil, salt, pepper, etc). Janet was easy to communicate with and even left a thoughtful treat basket. Great spot on the South Shore for families or groups of travellers.

Very relaxing and stress free! A very comfortable place for our family. Kids really enjoyed exploring the area and making S’mores at night around the fire pit. Looking forward to returning to visit in the future.

Nice home away from home.
This cottage is more like a home. Much bigger than it looks in the photos. Having the firepit was really nice, as well as access to Whitepoint was great! Everything you need for a great stay!

Very spacious, clean property with lots of amenities. (Beach chairs, games, bbq, AC in the master bedroom). Close to White Point resort and access to all amenities at the resort.

Family vacation
It is tough to please teenagers. We looked for an interesting vacation spot for each of my kids interests. This cottage was perfect. With access to White Point beach and pool and close to Liverpool for dining and activities everyone found something they loved. Relaxing in the cartage was everyone's favorite too.

Salt air, star gazing, and memories made!
We had an amazing time at the cottage! There was plenty of room for all - 3 moms and 4 girls! The kitchen was great for making meals, lots of utensils and plates, and the large table made for great breakfasts & brunches where we all could sit! The deck was amazing, and we used the back yard for some star gazing. The beach was fantastic, the nature trail was used most often to get to the resort. We saw a few bunnies on the way and the girls took their annual photo on the large rocks near the walking bridge. Beautiful!! Definitely a great place to stay and Janet was great at equipping & communicating with me leading up to and while there. Would rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for allowing us to make some wonderful memories! ~Beth

Quiet getaway spot
This property was in the woods close to White Point with plenty of space and comfortable. Thankful for flexibility of owners for check-in dates and times, and the nice gift basket. Close to White Point and great to use the amenities there, but road to the cottage has many potholes so need to beware when driving in.

Winter snags
Due to freezing temperatures, the heating was inadequate, the electrical system could not sustain new space heater purchased by guest. Owners very willing but unable to rectify. Problems being fixed before next rental. Great cottage nevertheless.

Hidden gem in White Point Estates

Perfect Home Away from Home
Thank you Janet & Greg for allowing us to use this home as a base for our vacation. It's location was perfect - allowing us to explore nearby beaches and visit with family. The children enjoyed riding their bikes via the Nature trail to the White Point Lodge and beach area for nightly campfire. It had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

6 ladies in our 60s ,we had a great time at the cottage ,it was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there . We used the pool at the lodge, very nice. Great property for families
This cottage is perfect for two families with young children. The space was great, it was very roomy and I like that everything is on one floor so you don't have to worry about stairs. White Point was walkable even for the young ones (although not with all your beach gear). The beach was great (sand only exposed at low tide though) and there are so many other beautiful beaches near by. Bring a body board for sure. The cottage has all the must-haves but you may want to bring things like a speaker for music and note that the TV in the living room does not have Netflix (the bunk bed room does though). There is a nice BBQ and also a lobster pot if you need one. Janet was good at communicating and left a lovely gift basket. We'll be back for sure!

We had a great time at the cottage. It was so peaceful & quiet! The cottage was well equipped & had everything we needed. We loved the ability to have a fire... both inside & out. We would definitely return to this cottage!

Perfect getaway!
Everything was perfect! We loved taking our daily walks to white point resort using the nature trail. It was beautiful and just a 10 minute leisurely walk away. You can hear the ocean from the cottage. The cottage itself was beautiful, very clean and bigger than I expected. It also had everything we needed. We hope to stay there again!
