We stayed here for a group snowmobile trip and the location was great! Easy access to snowmobile trails and walking distance to the restaurant/bar. House was perfect for what we needed, clean and the garage was very convenient to use. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The whole house was completely stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We stayed Monday through Saturday and couldn’t believe how welcoming and safe it felt. My best friend and I had a girls trip and it was our first time in the UP and my first experience with a bnb so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was a perfect base for all of our adventures and we crammed a lot of them in our time there. Very quiet neighborhood. Pet friendly/safe. You will see deer in the yard
Accessing the property was easy, the home was clean and family friendly. Had everything we needed and was a nice get away from the hustle of the city. Would stay again.
The property was clean and quiet. It had what we needed to enjoy our stay. The owner was very helpful with questions that we had. We would rent this place again :)
The house was perfect for us! Easy to find, and in a great location! The host has thought about everything and is very accommodating! We will stay here again! We had planned on snowmobiling but with the lack of snow we brought our side by side and still had a great tkmr!
I came up for a family vacation and we had an amazing time. The home was very nice and clean. Near a good amount of fun activities. There isn’t a/c but keeping the windows open and using the fans at the house did help. Sad there wasn’t a hot tub as posted but still had an amazing stay. He was very responsive when I had question! Would definitely stay again!
The property was as expected. They had more than enough extras in case you forgot something. Very comfortable for our family of five. The cove of homes was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if we chose to stay in the same area.
Great host, easy stay - sometimes bumps are blessings
We stayed the weekend, family of 7 (adults +baby). Owner was great with communication and easy to work with through a few minor issues (not worth detailing, owner was fantastic to assist). Well stocked, plenty of clean towels and linens, washing machine and dryer…
GREAT location in the heart of the eastern Upper Peninsula… within 30 mins of anything you want to see…
Again: can’t acknowledge the communication and feedback of the owner enough… real easy to work with and offers full access to a lot of amenities most places don’t even consider (garage, bbq, fire pit, chairs, etc.)…
One thing to mention: We were a little surprised to realize the pull out sofa wasn’t there (as mentioned in the listing), so we were down a bed… but we worked it out, my adult kids decided to slumber party on the downstairs floor like teenagers.
If you like a cozy place to stay, this is your place!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
The location is nice, right in Hulbert, easy to access. the firepit in the backyard in nice. The kitchen is well stocked. The field across the street is very convenient. The check-in was easy with the door lock code. Access to the garage would be very beneficial for those with snowmobiles or ATVs. It even seemed that tools were available for use. Unfortunately, the number of beds/sleeping is not accurate. The listing says it sleeps 8. It also lists a sofa bed which does not exist. In reality, there is a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, and 4 single beds in the loft. It sleeps 6. Period. Also, the place isn't necessarily "clean" by VRBO standards. Compared to many rentals, guests may find the cleanliness lacking. The loft gets warm and smells very dingy. The kitchen could use a good cleaning. Additionally, when you arrive, you get a note from the host stating that you must take out your own garbage. And there is no reference to a public facility or dumpster for where to take the garbage. We hauled ours around for a while before finding a suitable public dumpster in Trout Lake. After our stay, the host attempted to charge us for "excessive cleaning" after we left. We left the house in very satisfactory condition. We cleaned all the dishes, put them away, and did as instructed with all the sheets and linens. VRBO confirmed that this additional fee was unwarranted and did not need to be paid. Just be aware of this if you book.
I was looking for a place to stay so my family could explore Tahquamenon Falls. This place was great for what we needed which was a home base for us to head out from. The home was stocked with plenty of dishes so we could cook our own meals. There was plenty of towels and sheets available for use and best of all, they were cleaned. We enjoyed having dinner on the unique dining room table and the kids loved sitting on the bench seats. We were about 35-40 mins away from the falls so that worked out well for us. The owner was also very responsive. I text a couple of questions to the phone number given and was replied to within minutes. I was very appreciative of that. The only things I would mention to renters is if you come, make sure you bring your own food as the nearest grocery story is in Newberry which was about 30 mins away. Not bad of a drive if you live in Michigan but it can be if you have been driving all day to get there. The other part I didn't realize was that this home didn't have any trash pickup so you literally had to take your trash with you. Thankfully, the owner was nice enough to work with me on that and coordinated with his house keeper. That was very nice of him because I would have had to take my trash home with me. Overall, it was a cozy little place that was great for my family and I. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay so they can explore the beautiful UP.
