"The location is peaceful and serene in the cloud forest coffee belt, but also still very close and accessible to Kona and many locations. The rental is very clean and stocked with what you need, including lots of beach gear and a cooler. The laundry does come with a fee, however the price is extremely reasonable for a complete laundry service and host is very prompt in communication and completion of your laundry. This is a simple, affordable and family-friendly place that supports a local family."

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a truly special place, but it was our incredible hosts, Gene and Kriss, who turned a wonderful vacation into an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. World-Class Hospitality Gene and Kriss are, hands down, the finest hosts we have ever encountered. Their hospitality is unmatched; they anticipate every need with genuine warmth and aloha. But they didn't just feel like accommodation hosts to us—over the course of our stay, they truly became friends. Sharing conversations and laughs with them honestly made our trip that much better. They are the heartbeat of this beautiful property. Spectacular Rooms & Stunning Grounds The property itself is an absolute dream. The grounds are meticulously landscaped, lush, and vibrant, perfectly capturing the tropical essence of Kona. Walking through the gardens feels like a peaceful escape. As for the accommodations, the rooms were spectacular—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation. "Communication with the owner, Mary, was seamless. Responses were always prompt and friendly. The property itself, well, was simply a gem. The cozy, idyllic cottage situated above Kona in a cloud forest surrounded by lush greenery was a peaceful retreat after an adventurous weekend of exploring and long workdays during the week. There’s no doubt that when I return to the Big Island I will be staying here again. I am grateful for the memories of afternoon rains, feeding a visiting pheasant at the back deck, and rhythmic sounds of coqui frogs at night. Thank you for a terrific stay. Highly recommend."

"This property is amazing! For a brief few days we really felt like Ohana in Hawaii. The Pink House is an amazing home with so much history. The gardens are beautiful and the Lanai is one of a kind. We easily slept 8 in the home and had room to hide from one another when necessary. It’s located very close to some restaurants, and a quick drive down to the touristy things. We arranged our own fishing excursions and horse back riding in the area with easy from this location. The evening breezes kept the home comfortable for our group from a very hot/dry climate. Thank you Lisa and Blue Sky!"
