"I had a very pleasant few days in The Bird. Room was small and basic but comfortably and clean. The kitchen and dinning room are as good as you’ll get. Also a lounge for relaxing, which is great if you don’t want to leave at 1000. The only issue is they need a better system for food in the fridge as it’s full of stuff that people have left."

"A great little hotel right near the waterfront. The staff was so helpful finding fun things to do, and everything else. The breakfast was great…prepared by the restaurant downstairs, which helps a lot in getting going for the day early. Ask for a room overlooking waterfront, with a large balcony. It really makes a difference. Absolutely would star here again."
Two Bedroom Vacation Home In The Center Of Tórshavn

"There are a lot of things to like about this apartment - the location is so central (2 mins from shops, bus stops, restaurants), the place is very clean and having a kitchen / laundry machine came in very handy. However as others have pointed out you should beware of the following: the shower set up is very bizarre - it was quite cumbersome to use and required some prep of setting up mouldy shower curtains before and then draining the room with a mop/towel after. Communication with the company (we never got to talk to the actual host who probably knew their property better than them) was quite slow and painful, we gave up asking for any more help in the end. The upstairs (bedroom/bathroom) are up a very narrow almost ladder-like staircase, and you have to navigate around the room bending down most of the time so it's not the most accessible. There are also no blackout curtains anywhere, just some very thin semi-transparent sort of blinds and sunrise was around 3am so if that could wake you up I wouldn’t recommend staying there without a sleeping mask. The WiFi stopped suddenly towards the end of the trip, it was a 4G mobile router so I assume it just ran out of data… Overall the place met our basic needs for this trip but we would probably book somewhere with a better shower situation for next time."

"This is a self-service guest house so do not expect hotel-level services. There is no staff on site. But it is an economical alternative to Torshavn's expensive hotels. Its location is unbeatable. During my stay all the other guests were respectful and quiet so there were no problems. The bathrooms are shared but proved to not be a problem. Different folks had different schedules so there was never an issue of accessing a bathroom. The hotels.com listing mentions parking. This is not correct. There is no dedicated parking. But there are a couple of public lots of only a modest walk away where you can park 23 out of 24 hours without moving your car. The public spaces in the immediate vicinity are free but restricted to 30 minutes or 2 hours...works well enough to unload your luggage but then you need to move your car to one of the longer term lots. The kitchenette is adequate. There is a shared fridge with a dedicate modest-sized space for each room, but no freezer. There are two food stores within 5 minutes' walk."
