Walk to the river to fish, kayak or relax. Our property joins the Jackson River walking/biking trail. It’s a short walk to the Jackson River, known for fly fishing and kayaking. We are a short drive to Lake Moomaw, where you can enjoy boating, fishing or a picnic. The Cliffview golf course is a five minute drive. Also, we are located between The Homestead and The Greenbrier, two wonderful resorts. The Jefferson pools (which is a 30 minute drive) are wonderful for soaking in natural warm water.Let’s not forget our wonderful waterfall and the Humpback Bridge only a short drive away. Gary and Pam both came to greet us upon arrival to make sure we had everything we needed/wanted. They shared their personal phone numbers, and helped us greatly when we were in a pickle with navigating to a lake area to swim!! The house was extremely cozy, had ample kitchenware/appliances, the neighbors were friendly, and the backyard view was breathtaking. It was only a short walk to the river and short drive to the lake. We chose Pam & Gary’s country cottage and we picked right. The views were absolutely beautiful. We walked the gorgeous trail that was nearby and visited the Falling Springs Waterfalls… which I have to say was majestic. Pam and Gary were the perfect hosts. Made us feel so welcomed and suggested things to do in the area and places to eat. I can’t say enough kind things about our hosts. The kindest people.
