Big Water View- Lake Martin-Sunset Station!

"The view was excellent .The fishing from the dock was a challenge but overall ok. The problem with the property was the overall condition. The flooring was coming up in the hallways, there was mold in the drip coffee pot, the rockers on the back deck were coming apart,and a lot of old or out of condiments in the refrigerator and cabinets. I think the house really needs a small renovation to address the issues and more comfortable chairs on the back porch. Also the wooden steps off the porch need a serious cleaning. Overall the stay was ok but a little over priced for what it’s described as."

"Unfortunately, an unexpected high fever hit our son right before his 11th birthday weekend, and we had to cancel the lake trip he had been so excited to share with his buddies. Needless to say, there were some very disappointed kids—and parents!Although the rest of us never got the chance to truly experience this beautiful home, my husband did stay for one night so he could pack up our boat and get it into storage. We have stayed in many different Lake Martin homes throughout the summer, and when he came home, his exact assessment was that this was THE NICEST place we would have stayed all summer. Coming from him, that is very high praise!We were genuinely so disappointed that illness kept us from enjoying the home the way we had planned, because it was clear that it would have been the perfect place for such a special weekend. We are already hoping to circle back in the spring and give our son the 11th-birthday lake trip with his buddies that he missed.Thank you for opening such a wonderful home and sharing it with families like ours. Lake Martin is one of our very favorite places—a place where our family always seems to slow down, reconnect, and make some of our best memories. We only wish we could have made those memories here this time around, but hopefully this was simply a rain check. We would absolutely love the opportunity to come back and truly enjoy this beautiful place!"

"Our family had a wonderful time at this gorgeous property! The lot was stunning and the dock was incredible. The house is beautiful, with lake views everywhere you look. It was clean and very comfortable. I really enjoyed my mornings sitting on the covered lakefront porch with my coffee, watching the fish jump and the squirrels play. Although I brought a bunch of cooking utensils and supplies, the kitchen was very well furnished. I think the only thing I didn’t bring and couldn’t find was a potato peeler, but it was probably there somewhere. LOLI loved all the trees but they create a tough environment for upkeep so there are a few areas that need a bit of TLC, especially the one rotten board on top of the lakefront steps."
