Funky Dodo is an economical choice for travelers who don’t need much. The property is really lovely. It’s very close to the beach, restaurants, ATM, and grocery stores. There’s a nice courtyard to sit in. We had a private room so I can’t speak to the condition of the shared rooms. We were surprised to learn that there is no air conditioning. They did give us an extra fan. Most nights the temp was ok, but our last night it was too hot to sleep. WiFi connection was spotty. Sometimes there’s hot/warm water, sometimes not. Our biggest complaint is that we bought a bunch of Belizean chocolate bars to bring back as gifts. It is steps to the beach and Hopkins Pier. There are a few restaurants in the area as well as an ATM, super market, and pharmacy.
