About this property

Private Riverfront w Pool/Hot Tub/Cabins. Sanctuary for Family/Friend Gatherings

  • Pick a room overlooking the pool or the river in the main cottage. This 5 bedroom cottage sleeps up to 12 in the main house (2 queens, 2 full and 4 twins). There are two separate little cabins for additional guests and great for kids! (2 twin beds in each cabin).
    Huge deck and outdoor seating overlooking the direct access to the Wood River in the backyard. There are kayaks + paddle board to use, and can take you all the way into Hope Valley center (3 miles down the river, 60-75 paddle ride). *Kayaks and paddle board are inflatable and must be dried off + deflated and stored at the end of guests stay.

    In addition, the property has a well maintained full size pool, outdoor cabana and hot tub. For your convenience there is a full sized fridge and freezer, as well as a grill for outdoor cooking.

    It is a peaceful sanctuary for family and friends to gather and create lifelong memories together. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does!

What an amazing weekend! The house was perfect for our large party. Little tight in the kitchen but we made it work. The yard and pool are the perfect spot to hang out. Will definitely keep this house on our list of favorites!

Back again for a wonderful stay

Our extended family loves Marie's place! The cousins love soending alone time in the kid cabins, and the dining room table is great for a rousing game of Monopoly Go. Nice huge TV makes movie nights fun, and the pool can't be beat. Thanks for a great visit!

Friends and family vacation

Great spot plenty of space in the house for everyone. Nice kitchen and livingroom obviously the salt water pool was great. We spent out nights near the fire pit and gazed at the stars. They really shine bright with no light pollution around here. Recommend having your monitoring coffee near the river access for a relaxing start to your day.

We really enjoyed the space, inside and out. There was several seating areas outside. One by the pool, one in the garden area and one by the fire pit. Just fantastic!The pool and the grounds were very well maintained. Outdoor lighting was well placed. The kitchen and dining areas were larger than it looked in the photos. 6 chairs at the dining table. We expected 4...bonus! Washer and dryer..bonus! The livingroom was large but more seating is needed to accommodate a big group. We used an available fan to circulate cool air from the livingroom into the dining room and kitchen. Overall we loved this home. We enjoyed every minute of our time there.

BEWARE: No towels or sheets!

Overall the house was nice. Kitchen well stocked. It's really fun to kayak on the river right behind the house. Very quiet location, great pool. But the owner was extremely difficult. Beware the house has ZERO sheets or towels. That is not an exaggeration. No hand towels in bathrooms, no kitchen towels. NOTHING. So if you happen to have 8 beds worth of sheets lying around and 20 towels, you're all good. For the other 99.999% it's extremely irritating. What's more, the house description and the welcome package DID NOT mention this, despite the owner saying they did (she was wrong). The ONLY mention was #19 in the legaleze of the rental contract. We had to buy all this stuff, and she didn't reimburse us $1. Which is also an ecological disaster for each guest to need to do this. Also one of us left an important keychain at the house and it took 20 days for her to send it, despite knowing its importance and being reminded multiple times.

Fabulous pool in a private area.

We had 11 adults in our group. Although there are things to do in the area, the highlight of this rental is a fabulous, deep, saltwater heated pool, which was well-maintained. There’s a shaded sitting area and many other seats in the sun. There is also a hot tub although it was pretty warm the weekend we went. There are lots of sitting areas all over the property, including a large lower deck, and a smaller upper deck. Behind the house is a river that was a little difficult to kayak due to the fallen trees. It was peaceful to sit by, however. We cooked and grilled all of our meals there except for one meal out. There are lots of beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers on the property. The mosquitoes were pretty bad, but we brought lots of bug spray. There’s a large, smart TV in the living room that we used for gaming in the evening. Just across the street is a lovely hiking area. It was so humid that weekend, so we really appreciated all the air conditioners. We ran out of a few essentials, but there are plenty places to shop nearby. You must supply your own towels and sheets, so I would clarify before you go to make sure you have the proper sizing. Overall, we had a great weekend, and I would definitely go back here again.

This year is the second year that we have rented this house. We LOVE it here! The house is secluded on a beautiful landscaped property. There were primarily 12 of us staying here. Plenty of beds in the main house. There are 2 large utility sheds on the property converted cabins. They each have 2 beds,electricity and air conditioners. Perfect for family and friends to spend overnight in,or a quick day time nap in a quiet cabin. The pool was a hit with everyone. It is well maintained. Marie(the owner) has put plenty of sitting areas around the pool and on the property. Be aware,the drop from the shallow end to deep end of the pool is significant. The beach is a short drive from the property. Those of us that can still walk in sand (ancient hips) spent a couple of afternoons there. Brand new gas grill and 2 full propane tanks. Kayaks to use on the river. Can life be any better than this? Large living room, although not a lot of seating there. No worries we brought our lawn chairs inside as needed. No dishwasher but between adults washing and paper plates etc, clean up after meals was easy. No central air. Each room has a window air conditioner that does the trick. Marie was available through out our stay. Marie is an angel. Poor thing had to put up with my texts. "Where can I find a light bulb?" Is there an extension cord available?" " "Ooops I honestly thought check out was at 11 a.m." I highly recommend this rental.You will really enjoy the space! Thank you Marie!

We had a great time at this property! The amenities are incredible. We went kayaking and used both the pool and hot tub. The rules are a little intimidating at check-in, but Marie was such a good and responsive host! She helped us with everything we needed. Please note - not sheets/towels in the house. We did not realize this until 2 days ahead of time, so just a little rushed to figure it out. Overall, loved it and would come back!

Great spot for our extended family of 12 - quiet, plenty of parking, places available to retreat to when you wanted some time for yourself, plenty of yard space for kids to play. Check-in super easy with a door code, modern kitchen with everything needed to cook. And can't forget about the pool and hot tub!

Amazing place!

Our group had the best time at Marie’s place. It is unbelievable beautiful, quite and there are soo many thing to do. From pool to hot tub to a Kanu ride on the river. The house is big, clean and comfy. We just had the best time and I would recommend this place to everyone!

Overall we had an amazing time! It is a relaxing spot and the pool was just what we all needed. The kitchen had everything you needed. There is shopping close for all of your needs! You do need to bring your own linens and the river was not passable for us to kayak down to the attached pond but it didn't matter because we had so much fun in the pool! Marie was very responsive and kind. We will be back!

Truly an amazing stay for our family! The interior of this home had a calm and cool ambience; perfect for a much-needed getaway. Each bedroom hosted it's own air conditioning unit that did keep the whole house cool in this crazy heat. The stunning pool is the heart of this home! We all enjoyed floating, laughing, and cannonballing the afternoon away. There is a covered mini-outdoor pavilion which was ideal for our shade-loving family members. Gardens were blooming and beautiful. Thank you Marie for adding the personal touches, we appreciate it !

June 2025

This was the fourth year we have gone to this house, and we have already booked it for next year. We love it and look forward to it. The hostess is helpful and quick to respond to our questions. It is perfect for our family. Our family consists of my husband and me, our two married daughters, their husbands, and their daughters (ages 4, 7, and 8). We gather fairly frequently at home, but it is usually to attend an event, so we don’t have time to catch up with each other. Our “vacation house” allows us time to chat, laugh, be silly, play games in or around the pool, make S’mores, and maybe even sing around the fire pit.
