Beautiful beach house located on the waters' edge at Hoodsport. Kayak, swim, scuba dive, or just relax while watching seals, otters, seasonal waterfowl, and the occasional whales if you are lucky. Beautiful sunrise, and nearby mountain trails are calling. Shrimping and crabbing based on season at designated areas. The house is ideal for couples with or without kids. It has two bedrooms and an extra room to relax and enjoy time together. Other things to note Our beach house has a parking spot at the front of house right off the street. There is room for two cars. Please stay on the concrete pad, not on the gravel area. We have two kayaks and life vests at the property. Guests are welcome to use. If you plan to bring a boat, please check in with us. We are happy to host your boats for shrimping, crabbing, fishing etc. Boat launch is close by in Potlatch and a buoy is available off the property. We own the tideland. We will send a welcome email about 1-2 weeks prior to your stay with essential information including directions and access code. Please kindly respect max guests count is four. If your family is larger, please do ask about exceptions. We look forward to your stay at our property! Note: There are two security cameras at the property. It had all the necessary amenities. We would definitely stay again. The only thing I wasn’t aware of or didn’t read is that there are stairs for two of the bedrooms. They even left us a nice bottle of wine to enjoy. They were very accommodating, as I am in a wheelchair almost 24/7\. They built a little ramp for me to access the house with no problem, and the doorways were wide enough to roam the house with no difficulty. We will definitely be coming back soon. It is an emasculate home with many surprise comforts included. The flowers around the house were enjoyable each morning while gazing out at the sparkling water. After a long day of hiking, the cool water felt great at high tide. The owners included plenty of outdoor seating, kayaks and wood and even kindling. The home had all we needed as far as kitchen niceties, paper products, soap, towels and linens. It’s clear that owners love the house and property and so generously want to share it. We felt like we were staying at a friends vacation home vs a rental. The property was beautiful both inside and out, and had everything we needed - a true home away from home. If you like to cook while on vacation, you'll find higher end cookware, knives that are sharp, and a great selection of spices. We watched harbor seals poking in the waters every day from the deck; we even had a pair of bald eagles hunting the shore just to the south of us! Our kids enjoyed having their own space upstairs in the game room. It was quite hot on the 2nd floor as there is only AC on the 1st floor, but it was warmer than usual and the kids managed ok. A fan was really needed to pull in the cool air. The only downside is that there is some road noise due to proximity to 101 (worse on the weekend), but the pluses of this property far outweighed the noise for us. Stayed 4 nights in Jul 2022 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Holly F. 17 Mar 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Perfect getaway The original home has a very recent upscale designed addition with large downstairs bedroom, large walk-in closet, and large bathroom with walk-in shower. The water views are relaxing with tides moving water to your left or to your right. At low tide, I walked the beach taking photos of the oyster formations. Indeed a seal would swim past a couple of times a day. The family even provides binoculars to view the wildlife. The kitchen is well stocked and made the preparation of fresh oysters from LilliwaupOysters convenient. (Do call Liiliwaup Oysters the day prior.). North on 101 you may see an eagle or two near Eagle Creek. If you take the road leading west in Hoodsport, the drive past Lake Cushman is extremely picturesque with multiple roadside waterfalls leading to national park trails. This home is in a ideal location to explore the area, but you probably won’t want to leave such a perfect setting. I would love to return. ##### Holly F. Stayed 2 nights in Mar 2022 ### 10/10 Excellent #### H-P C. 19 Jul 2022 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Stunning home on water's edge Our hiking group of 4 ladies spent a fabulous long weekend at Hoodsport and this house is one of the highlights of our trip. Helen is very responsive, and informative. The house is clean, bright, and spacious. It has been beautifully remodeled on the first floor (all LVP, no carpets). Well stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, glasses, utensils, pots and pans. Helen even put out a bottle of wine for us; we didn't get a chance to enjoy it but greatly appreciate the gesture. The east facing wall has floor to ceiling windows facing the water. The master bedroom is on the first floor w a comfortable king bed, huge walk-in closet and a large updated bathroom (w 2 sinks and a big shower). Two full size washer/dryer, and detergent. The upper level does not seem updated; it has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a sitting area. The Q bedroom has ample space and a small walk in closet. The 2nd room has 2 twin beds but no shelves or closet; more suitable for kids not adults. It would be nice to add a nightstand and a shelving unit. The bathroom has a tub (no shower), toilet, and a single sink. No counter space for toiletries. Had to place items on the floor. We loved the first floor and the outdoor space, therefore didn't use the upstairs much except to sleep. One quick note, the house is right on highway 101, you can hear some traffic in the upstairs bedrooms, but very little traffic noice on F1\. The 2 kayaks are wonderful for exploring the waters near the house (beautiful boathouse, easy boat launch from patio). We kayaked to Hoodsport Hatchery and back in 45 min. Fabulous sunset paddle. The moon rise is very impressive too. Really enjoyed the house and its beautiful view. We will definitely rent it again. Thank you Helen. ##### H-P C. Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Love looking out at the Sealions and the Occasional dolphin.
