It was perfect for 4 of us to just hang out, read books, play games, and eat food together. We were planning on doing some shopping in Hood River but we ended up just wanting to stay in and relax. The neighborhood is quiet and safe (Hood River Sherif live across the street). The house was well-kept. The house had some wear and tear like any rental, but it didn’t bother us. I’m giving a rating of a 5/5 stars. However if I \*had to be picky\* I would recommend getting new towels and sheets. They smelled like they sat in the washer for too long before drying, but that’s a pet peeve of mine. With that said, I would not mind staying here again! ##### Megan S. The residence itself is nicely appointed, beautiful banks of windows letting outside in. Kitchen has all you need to enjoy preparing meals. The outdoor living space is comfortable leading to a path and a bench adjacent to the creek - extremely tranquil and picturesque. The property management company needs to do a better job cleaning as both bedroom quilts were soiled. You can imagine that takes away from the overall quality of your stay. Our code didn’t work when we arrived, but thankfully we got help immediately over the phone and a new code was assigned so we appreciated that. The home is a little scuffed up along the walls and the bed frames and the bedroom mattresses are very hard and uncomfortable. But the location and the uniqueness of the home is worth checking it out! ##### Gina W. A creek runs behind the home, and the home itself is located a bit off the beaten path (about 15 minutes away from Parkdale or Hood River). You can sit under the home on a new deck, and watch deer eat clover in the back yard. You can pet a friendly neighborhood cat that likes to visit. Upstairs, the view is relaxing and the living room is inviting for a quiet evening relaxing. ##### Blair E. Some bedroom shades were not functional, living room curtains were missing altogether, lighting was harsh, many things need maintenance/TLC. But, there is a good puzzle & DVD selection, the Internet was working and the book library organized by color was fun! ##### Matthew J. Since we were staying a week that was one of the amenities we were looking for. There was no cable or even antenna TV service at all. Also there was no cell service in the home or anywhere near. Had to get in the car and drive toward town to get service. That was listed in the arrival instructions but I image most people would appreciate knowing that information prior to booking the property. ##### Barbara B. ---
