We were aware that we were one the first floor and there would be overhead noise so we did hear some movement around upstairs at the end of the day but nothing significant enough to disturb us and we were mostly out and about during the day anyway. I do wish they had some heavier blackout curtains in the bedroom because the light from the hall outside the building kept the room brighter than I would have liked at night. I really enjoyed the spacious size of the bedroom and we spent most of the time in the room rather than the living room. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed for our short stay. We were able to walk to several restaurants, cafes. Breweries, and wine bars from the house. The apartment felt spacious, especially the large bedroom. The bed was very comfortable. There are also 2 bathrooms so we had 'his n' hers' bathrooms! The location is excellent, just minutes from all the shops and restaurants in Hood River, plus the waterfront. The kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment was very clean. If I had to pick any downsides, it was that it was a little dark, due to being on the ground floor. There was also some noise from the comings and goings in the apartment above, but on the whole it didn't bother us. The air-con units were quite noisy but we didn't need them on much. The ceiling seems very thing and you can hear everything going on overhead. The neighbors aren't necessarily noisy, just going about their lives.
