We have stayed at Papakea many times but this was our first stay in this lovely unit. The place was spotless!! And the most well-stocked rental we’ve ever stayed in by far. Gorgeous view, wonderful, communicative and kind owner, all the beach gear included, full kitchen amenities (plastic bags, paper towels, plenty of dishes, glasses and cookware, etc.), books and puzzles, updated furnishings and an extremely comfortable bed. The condo was stocked with everything we could need for our week and our boys really enjoyed the boogie boards and sand toys. The property and grounds were well maintained and close to several beaches with great snorkeling. Can't wait to go back and visit Maui and we will definitely book this condo again! The unit was very clean and well-equipped, loved that they provided beach toys, towels, chairs etc. The appliances were all well maintained and high end. The location of the resort is very convenient to access a lot of nearby beaches, restaurants, shopping etc and this particular unit had a lovely view from the patio. We made great use of all the thoughtful things included like: beach towels, sand toys, umbrella, golf putters, coffee maker, pots and pans. There were even spices in the kitchen. The washer and dryer were also convenient. There is also lots of useful things within walking distance like a grocery store, Chinese take out, and a great beach with a playground. The condo is nicely renovated and furnished with everything we needed. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves and the wind blowing in the trees. We actually moved over to the Westin at the end of our stay at Papakea to join up with family, and we thought our experience in Craig's condo was far superior to the Westin. The complex has lots of space to lounge and play, the pools and hot tubs were nice sized, clean, and never overly crowded, even though we were there over the holidays. The location is great - lots to walk to and a short drive to many other island activities. We can't wait to come back! ##### Courtney P. My wife, four year old, and myself really enjoyed our stay there. The unit is well equipped with just about everything you need. Its been updated and everything is new and in good condition. The property is very well maintained. The unit is steps to the beach, pool, bbq grills, putting green, shuffle board, etc. There are two pools at the property so the closest pool was never too crowded. Condo was the perfect getaway. The most equipped condo I have stayed at. Very clean and new kitchen. Beach chairs, body boards, putting clubs and balls. The bed which is one of the most important was fabulous. Great views of beach and pool. Best part your not breaking the bank. I’ve stayed at the big resorts and paid 3 times the money for very little more. Yes I was served drinks, coconut shrimp and calamari but who cares, I can go to a nice restaurant and get that. Craig and Sondra have done such an amazing job on this unit. We have stayed at Papakea over 15 times and this is our favorite unit! Comfortable furniture, high end appliances, air condition in living room and bedroom. Craig has excellent communication skills with his guests. This unit is by far the best we have ever stayed at! Craig and Sondra have thought of everything! A complete kitchen with new appliances, a very comfortable king size bed, great living room furniture and air conditioning for when the trade winds aren’t blowing. Even beach towels, chairs and boogie boards! The view from the lanai is perfect, we started our day on the lanai watching the sunrise reflect on the ocean and finished our day listening to the ocean and looking at the stars. And Craig and Sondra are gracious hosts. So friendly and thoughtful. We will definitely be back! Mahalo and aloha! ##### Deb S. This is our first time at Papakea and we loved it more than anyplace we've stayed before. The condo was very clean, well stocked, comfortable, beautifully decorated. The kitchen was super stocked with spices and things needed to cook a meal. Our daughter said the pull out was quite comfortable. The complex is so nicely landscaped, there were always pool chairs available, the putting course was nice, people were always playing shuffleboard and cornhole, the vibe was just very nice, lively but not too loud. Parking was easy, it was so nice to be connected via the parking lot to the ABC store. I will say the bed is a bit on the firm side but I got used to it, and the dryer and AC are a bit tricky to figure out but we got them figured out. We had a great stay at Papakea! The condo was just as described, stocked with everything you will need. Great location, close to wonderful walking paths and the bus line. We didn’t rent a car and had no trouble walking or taking the bus from this location. The property was very clean and it is obvious how much care is taken in making it comfortable.
