However, the property itself is outdated and not well furnished, given the nightly rate. We were disappointed by the quality of the kitchen and bathroom amenities, lack of comfortable deck seating and general cleanliness. Relatively close to Squaw Valley and nearby restaurants. Overall, the home worked for 4 adults staying as we each had our own bedroom. That being said, we ran into issues with the hot water not lasting, the heat not working in the master bedroom, and the fireplace not lighting. Maintenance came buy and did address the water and heat with space heaters, but fireplace never was fixed. Kitchen had enough supplies and cookware to get us going. We also had a couple bears break into the outside garbage unit but after a call to management, they addressed the issue and cleaned up the trash that was spread across the driveway and yard. ##### Jim T. The stairs leading to the front door are unstable and not lit; we had two family members fall. The deck off the kitchen also is not stable and has a huge gap between the floor and the first board of the railing. A child can easily fall through so needless to say we did not utilize the deck. AvantStay responded immediately by sending a technician to try to get the outdoor lighting to work but were unsuccessful. They were quite taken aback by the condition of the house. The bedrooms were clean which allowed the house to work since we spent the majority of time at the beach and at our house. Overall we were very disappointed with the house. ##### Kimberly A.
