All on the Ground Floor: Open plan living space. Living area: Freeview TV, DVD Player Dining area. Kitchen area: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine Bedroom 1: (3 Steps), Double (4ft 6in) Bed, Freeview TV Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed, Freeview TV Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Patio with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. Please note: There are 3 steps in the sitting-out area.. All properties: Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. No smoking.. Situated in a quiet, rural part of Anglesey, this cluster of detached holiday properties are located at Melin Newydd windmill, which has been featured on Channel 4’s ’Restoration Man’ with George Clarke. The Windmill (ref 29567) has a lovely living area on the ground floor and a double bedroom on each of the first and second floors, from where a steep, space saver staircase leads up to a third floor living room with a balcony and fabulous views out over the surrounding countryside. Full of original features oozing character, The Windmill has been the subject of a simply stunning restoration, which makes this a cosy and quirky place to stay. Owl Cottage (ref 29569) features a conservatory living room, with picture windows opening to the fields, and two gallery bedrooms, whilst The Top Barn (ref 29568) is another barn conversion with lots of original features. These three properties are just a 10-minute drive from the delightful sandy beach at Rhosneigr - indeed, with 125 miles of coastline on the Isle of Anglesey you’re never far away from a beach or rocky cove to explore. A short distance away is the RSPB reserve at South Stack near Holyhead, whilst children will love Foel Farm Park or Anglesey Sea Zoo at Brynsiencyn. The NT mansion of Plas Newydd is well worth a visit, as is pretty Beaumaris with its castle, whilst the mountains of Snowdonia can be easily reached back on the mainland. Beach 5 miles. Shop and pub 3 miles, restaurant 5 miles. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests. Free WiFi There are steps within the property. No children under 6 years old. There is a fuel supplement of £40pw (or £30 per short brk) between Oct-Mar inclusive; the owner will be in touch before arrival to discuss payment for this. Lovely place to stay, very welcoming... not really any negatives at all, only suggestions I would give is to maybe have a larger bed in one of the rooms as it was a bit of a squeeze for us, my boyfriend could only just fit in as he’s tall! And maybe some extra blankets in case it’s hot, as we only had quilts so would have been nice to swap, otherwise was great. Location was quiet which we expected, not much around so not ideal if you want something busy and walking distance to pubs/shops etc but we were happy with the peace and quiet!
