Stoats and lizards live in the garden walls, there are newts and dragonflies in the pond, and otters have recently been seen in Llyn Traffwll at the bottom of the paddock. As part of their wildlife recording, the cottage owners regularly undertake moth trapping sessions which guests are welcome to attend, rapidly becoming a favourite activity for younger guests. It is a beautiful cottage in a very scenic location, spotlessly clean and a generous well thought out welcome pack. It was such a quiet location with abundant wildlife. We were near RAF Valley and on occasions the Red Arrows crews were training, which was very entertaining. Mandy provided us with a wealth of information and provided extra books, and went above and beyond if we needed more advice or help. I saw my first ‘Chough’ their, a bird I had never seen before. But for the nature lovers there were many species of birds and Hares running around. Indeed you could walk down a path to the local RSPB reserve. We will definitely be returning.
