Although the Library room was smaller than expected, it was incredibly cosy and we enjoyed the stay. The restaurant staff are delightful - so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We had dinner one of the nights we stayed and it was lovely (as were the free breakfasts). Great location - so close to the coast and perfect for a mini getaway. Would be nice to park near to the pub, car park is in another field which is a short walk away it seemed safe enough though. Evening meal and breakfast both excellent, staff were very friendly and room was clean. Garden room has a bath only and as it’s in the eves, you can only crouch to have a shower, don’t stand up quick and hit your head like I did! The bed is also tucked under the eves on one side so again be aware when getting up in the night as it is very close to your head. Bar furniture looks a little dated and could use a deep clean in places, but very comfortable. Bed was superb and the room excellent. The underfloor heating takes ages to warm the room and as it was very cold, it would have been nicer if it had been turned up a while before arrival. Minor points though. The bathroom room has a nice spacious shower, but is a wet room with no floor sqeuigie so had to dry my feet after entering each time. Coffee machine was good and barman was happy to supply more sachets. Food is pricey but worth it, great desserts! Had to return a pint of ale as tasted off, but the wine list made up for it.
