Overall pretty good
We arrived for our two night stay around 5pm. We were greated and walked over to our apartment by the owner. When we entered we were surprised to see such a large space. She told us we were in the 4 bedroom appointment. I was surprised because I booked the 2 bedroom apartment. She said not to worry about it this is where we were to stay. The apartment itself was nice and clean. A few things I found odd was the bathroom lights were on timers. And if you were sitting on the toilet for more than a minute the light would go off and the sensor is far away leaving you in darkness. I also didnt love the master bedroom as there was no door and there were huge windows and a skylight. We had traveled for several hours and were so tired. But it doesnt get dark in June until late so we were trying to sleep with no darkness But overall everything was pretty good. It was clean and we were comfortable. The only bad thing when I went to check out they tried to charge me nearly 1000 DKK more than I had booked the room for. Luckily I had my hotels.com receipt and knew that I was being over charged. The did change it but I have a feeling that the bigger apartment was empty so they put us there and then tried to charge me for it.

Good when traveling with kids in two families to visit Legoland, as our room was more like a really large apartment with four bed rooms and cooking facilities.

Loved my mini honeymoon here!
The location is quiet and relaxing. The staff were super friendly and spoke perfect English. The hotel is well maintained and has a very homey vibe. I would go back!

Beautiful idea, but room could be better.
We have stayed here before and loved it all. Unfortunately the room we were given this time was not as nice as the one before. While the bed was pretty good and the bathroom very nice with a spa bath, the sofa and chair in the room were poorly upholstered and uncomfortable and the TV was badly positioned so it could not be seen from one side of the bed. The evening meal was not up to the standard we expected. My Wienerschnitzel was a little tough to chew and the service was rather slow. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Fantastic spacious and comfortable room
The room was not just a room, but an apartment. It was themed based on Africa and we had the Emperor's room. The bedroom was wonderful with a very comfortable bed. The living area had 2 leather settees. The paintings on the walls were fabulous. It was nice and quiet and we would definitely stay there again when in the area. Oh, the bathroom had a large wooden bath and a great shower.

Great hotel that offers a lot of space in a comfortable, clean and quaint setting. There is not much in the town but we had everything that we needed within a one minute walk; onsite restaurant and ice cream stand, grocery store, offsite restaurant, carry out grill stand and a pizza restaurant. Check in was easy and we received very friendly service. Definitely worth the few extra minutes drive.

Aircondition is not Common, in Scandinavia - this year summer is Extreme hot and affecting a lot of the hotel business in Scandinavia.

Enjoyable enough
We are a family of 5 (kids 15,12,10) who visited Lego House and Legoland. We were unable to get reasonable accommodation in Billund. We found this hotel 35mins drive away in a small town called Holsted. The hotel is made up of several fairly big apartments, the reception was closed and we were not greeted by anyone. We did not meet an employee during our stay. Our apartment had a firestation theme which was quirky but maybe unnecessary. The apartment was 2 storey with the kids room in the basement and ours upstairs beside the kitchen.There was only one bathroom which was also in the basement, this was kind of annoying especially if you wanted to use it during the night. The shower was also directly beside the toilet so maybe not great from a hygiene point if view. There was a breakfast room available but we did not use it as we thought it was expensive for what you get and especially when there is a supermarket a 2 min walk across the road. The World Cup was on during our stay and we were able to watch the games on the flat screen TV provided. Overall our stay was enjoyable enough. By the way Holsted itself was dead and had nothing to offer. We would advise anyone going to Billund to try and get accommodation there.

Comfortable place, with a close grocery store.
3 bedrooms, kitchen, and a comfortable living room. This place is not close to any major cities, but as long as you do not mind driving, the extra comfort is worth it.

A very comfortable stay
We stayed for three nights with two small children in the red/ firefighter room. Super comfortable, spacious and well maintained. Fully equipped kitchen with a supermarket across the road. Cannot ask for more.

Exceptional hotel.
Quiet town within driving distance to Ribe, the east coast of Jutland. Friendly staff and a wonderful place to stay. A store across the street. The dinner at the restaurant wasn't that special but the hotel is exceptional. Really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel with a nice and cozy room
The hotel was very nice to stay with my family, including my kids. I chose this hotel when we visited Legoland and it took about 30 minutes by car.

Fabulous Family Apartment - 30mins to Legoland
3 bedroom family apartment, modern, spacious, clean & well equipped. All rooms are different and set in a character property. Staff very helpful, call on the phone helped establish which room to book. About 30min drive to Legoland Billund/Billund Airport. Supermarket directly opposite and pub/pizza just around the corner. Great value in high season compared to Billund hotels. Thoroughly recommended.

Value for the money
Value for the money, big and nice rooms, comfortable beds, and only 30 min away from legoland and billund. I can highly recommend it for families that want some space, easy parking, as well as its a lot cheaper and better than the hotels closer to legoland.

Deep copper tub!!
The 6 pm check in deadline caused us some stress and alteration of plans. When we got there, though, I got the impression it wasn't necessary(?). Not sure if that is misinformation on Hotels.com or the hotel's issue. The place was fantastic ...the deep copper tub was a huge hit for me!! The proprietors were very pleasant and helpful, including calling ahead to a restaurant to make reservations for us. The breakfast was nice...typical of Danish breakfasts...which I love! I would definitely recommend this place.

Stor charme og god service
Utrolig hyggeligt sted med charme og hjemlig følelse. Rigtig mange sjove detaljer i indretningen. Rigtig hyggelig værtinde. Rengøring kunne være bedre og den chokolade der var lagt frem var udløbet på dato sidste år. Gardin på badeværelse var helt grønt i bunden af fugt. Trods de små mindre gode ting kan jeg godt finde på at komme igen.

Et hyggeligt spændende og æstetisk hotel der virker til at være bygget op over et tema der repræsenterer det Afrikanske og Britiske kontinent Der er hele tiden noget nyt og spændende at finde for det nysgerrige øje og der er tænkt nøje i detaljerne Blev F.eks overrasket over at der midt i værelset som opdeling imellem himmelseng og sofagruppe stod et brugbart badekar på løvefødder Og at der ved den udemærkede morgenbuffet også var mange finurligheder og detaljer i lokalet at udforske imens kaffen gled ned Jeg tager gerne den oplevelse en gang til
